Here is one of my favorite tracks from "Scruffey's Troubled Past", the piece that plays when Oliver and Toad tear Scruffey apart! I enjoyed writing something that gradually went from calm and peaceful to dark and intense.

I think this is the first piece in a long time that I feel genuinely proud of the end result. I've been meaning to recreate the proper runaway theme for a long time now, and this commission finally put me on the path to doing it. I also think I finally figured out the descending chromatic bits, which have always been a thorn in my side. Really happy with this one. Enjoy!
