The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Silver Tears, the new duo composed by Curses and Skelesys. They surf through the dark waves with their new track “Always Shine (Wait For The Rain)”, splashing echoes of early Sisters Of Mercy and hints of The Cure's 'Faith' guitars injected with ethereal melancholic vocals in a haunting search for love. 

The track comes off "Next Wave Acid Punx DEUX", the second compilation meticulously curated by the Berlin-based musician and DJ Luca Venezia, known as Curses, in collaboration with legendary Eskimo Recordings. This sonic adventure hovers into the edgier realms of club music, unearthing its darker facets. Spanning across three CDs and three 2LPs, "Next Wave Acid Punx DEUX" boasts an impressive collection of 49 tracks, connecting the pioneering industrial sounds of Throbbing Gristle, EBM legends like Nitzer Ebb and the post-punk experiments of people like Malcolm McLaren and Big Audio Dynamite with some of the most exciting artists around today, such as Boy Harsher, Nuovo Testamento and Years of Denial.

The door of the house was ajar, lock broken and glass smashed into tiny pieces. Every inch of the interior had been defaced, damaged and neglected. Nothing seemed salvageable. She took a deep breath, this was her responsibility, she was in charge of taking care of this space and she'd failed completely. What could she do or say to rectify this? There was nothing that could save her if she told the truth. Everybody would ostracise her, cast her off. Her reputation would be in tatters. She only had one option... To lie through her teeth. It felt like eating knives...

Lithuanian artist Jaroška's music blends influences like post-punk, rave, EBM and electro. His latest record gets the rework treatment from Berlin duo Local Suicide and Argentinian producer Skelesys who, between them, have landed on Ombra International, Multi Culti, Bordello A Parigi and Rotten City Trax.

Direct from the Hague (via Vilnius, Lithuania) comes your new favorite darkwave artist - Caline With C. This alias was created for the reason of experimentation, as a free space for exploration of the unknown, both in the outside world and within. Emotional experience (which often works as a strong drive and motivation to the artist) and soundwave are the main focuses for Caline with C (aka Kamile), now studying Sonology in a master program.
In her own words: “I am a DJ, composer, performer, researcher and basically open to any kind of mentally, emotionally and acoustically stimulating activities. All my world turns around sound. I believe that “in the beginning, there was sound…”, therefore learning to talk and understand the language of sound has been a true delight.” This ethos comes across in the clear experimental versus intuitive approach at play on “Once in a Blue Moon”, with tracks that were recorded approximately over a period of one year. Her influences vary widely from musique concrète, industrial, bass, hip hop to dub, breakbeat, house, techno. The resultant 5 pieces move from ambient through darkwave, footwerk and bass with motifs of funky percussive house scattered throughout (courtesy of Kamile’s beloved Quasimidi Rave-o-lution 309), and is a pleasure for lovers of sonic experimentation.
