Something Unique
In a forgotten corner of the cosmos, where the constellations still sing in ancient dialects, a creature without equal was born. She had no name, because no language could contain her. Her skin was liquid obsidian, her eyes two moons facing each other, and her voice... her voice was the perfect blend of a whale's sigh and the creak of a glacier.
The gods watched her with curiosity. She was not the daughter of any, nor a product of prophecy. She was something unique.
Humans, seeing her in dreams, called her a thousand names: inspiration, chaos, muse, shadow.
But she answered none of them. She only walked between planes, sowing questions.
One day, she descended to the mortal world. Not to rule, nor to save. Only to listen.
She sat on the top of a Basque mountain, where the wind speaks Basque, and waited.
Poets, musicians, children, and the elderly arrived. Each one offered her something: a song, a secret, a tear.
She took nothing. She just smiled, and when she did, the sky changed color.
Over time, they understood that her power lay not in what she did, but in what she provoked.
She was the mirror that doesn't reflect, the question that doesn't seek an answer, the spark that doesn't burn.
She was something unique. And when she left, she left behind a whisper that still floats in the air: "Don't look for me on maps. Find me in what you can't explain."

I am so pleased to bring you my 17th studio album 🎶 'WONDER'. 
There is Wonder everywhere if we just take the time to stop and look or listen to find it. 

For me, the wonder I find in music is what inspired me and is what I focused and reflected on during the creation of this album. I can remember as a small child, listening to music on the radio and on cassettes, and picking out the various sounds. Now as a producer, listening back to those songs that influenced me when I was very young, I hear all the little details that captured my attention and have influenced me today as a producer.

For me, my life long work has been to seek the Wonder, that feeling that certain songs and music have given me over my life. 

Diving deep into the sound design and exploring every instrument I own, using every mixing and mastering tool at my disposal, seeking the sounds and melodies that bring us that feeling of Wonder, and that hopefully will help create lasting memories that we may attach to moments in our lives.

Music's Wonder connects us as humans, our spirits coming together, and it's this energy that we create thru the exchange of enjoying, and sharing music together that drives my passion every day to pursue the music within.

Thank you so much for continually sharing and celebrating with me all of the music that I've created and the music we have shared together. I can never give enough thanks to those of you who have supported my music over the years, and who are genuinely connected with my music. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to pursue my life's passion for music, and for being there to listen to the notes we share together.

Certain paradigms in the world of electronic music cannot be entirely replicated, and the body of work by Ryan Farish deserves such an accolade. The decorated DJ, producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist has touched innumerable hearts over the course of his career. 

Although best described as downtempo or chillout, Farish’s music exists in a category all its own. By pairing rich instrumentals with elements of ambient and uplifting trance, he’s yielded a polished and unmistakable sound that resonates with a wide international audience. He’s garnered over 270 million streams across the major digital platforms.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia, and currently shifting from his home in Williamsburg, VA, to Los Angeles, CA, Farish owes his early following to MP3, a website through which his music was downloaded approximately 1.8 million times. After putting out studio albums at an almost annual rate, Farish became a co-writer and co-publisher of a GRAMMY®-nominated recording at the 50th GRAMMY Awards presented in 2008. That same year, he won a Dove Award at the 39th annual GMAs. The following year, he launched his own record label, RYTONE Entertainment.

Farish reached another milestone in 2009 by landing his first high-profile endorsement deal with Yamaha Corporation of America. In 2011, he appeared in a series of Audi USA commercials called “Remarkable Audi,” discussing how the luxury vehicle’s soundsystem played a unique role in his creative process. In 2012, Bang & Olufsen tapped Farish for their advertising campaign in cooperation with Audi before Google Play showcased his album, Life In Stereo, by awarding him their “Best Unsigned Artist of 2012” distinction.

In 2014, Farish debuted on Black Hole Recordings with the release of “Distance” featuring Coury Palermo, the first of several singles Farish would put out through the world-renowned trance label. In the years since, he’s won over countless fans in the contemporary electronic dance music (EDM) arena; his songs have received support on such radio shows as Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy, Lange’s Create and Kyau & Albert’s Euphonic Sessions.

As of 2017, Farish has been enlisted to remix a collaboration between two respected figures in trance music. The Ryan Farish Remix of “Amnesia” by Paul Oakenfold and Jordan Suckley appeared on Dreamstate Volume One, a compilation put together by the former artist in participation with Insomniac Events’ Dreamstate event brand.

While not produced exclusively for nightclubs and festivals, Farish’s music exhibits a supreme appeal. Each concept’s flawless execution speaks to his years of experience in the studio. Farish frequently engages his online supporters, maintaining a fiercely loyal fan base that shares in his ongoing success.

As electronic music’s youngest generation of enthusiasts discovers the music of Ryan Farish, his catalogue of music will continue to expand. For Farish, the artistic journey has only just begun.
