The spirit of SuperScum took shape in early 2012 when vocalist and songwriter Claus Flindt Bjerg
met guitarist Morten Høyer Jensen in Aalborg, Northern Denmark. Sharing a passion for rock 'n'
roll and country music the two started writing songs mixing elements from both worlds. They
soon realized they struck something unique, and the next months were spent perfecting their
sound. With the addition of Mads Weigelt on bass, Dennis Eriksen on drums and Søren Hoff on guitar SuperScum was
born.
A mellow blend of warm melodies and melancholy, SuperScum's strength lies in the innate
richness of tone. The deeply personal lyrics only add to the darkness of their musical realm.
Out in January 2013, 'When rock 'n' rollers get the blues ' is SuperScum's first EP. The effort is
produced and featured by Søren Hoff (ex-Methonia, now active in his self-titled solo project). Also
featured is Torben 'Turbo' Koch (numerous country and folk bands from all over the world,
including Ray Weaver, Mike Bella, and Erin Hay, to name a few) on pedal steel guitar.
SuperScum is an outlet, a way to let go of the things that build up inside. And inside we're all
flawed creatures.
