Cardopusher and London-based label Super Rhythm Trax join forces again after the acidic EP released back in 2016, and boy it's a good one. The UK peeps at SRTX couldn't hope for a better start to 2018 as this EP is their first of the year.
Unsurprisingly you will find acid in this 4 tracks EP. A1 Trust Your TV  features a squelching and distorted 303 sequence playing over and over again with some drum action in the background and a heavy kick to keep you in the groove, very repetitive - never boring.
Here for the acid stuff? Switch directly to B1 and you will be greeted by Mircobes, here to please the bigger crowd with a techno feeling and more production value, it's as rough as they come and beautifully unpolished for the pleasure of the more hardcore dancers here at Bolting Bits HQ.
Now, the track we have the pleasure to premiere today is located in A2: Geotropism. Keeping the same raw drum programming we are used to in his productions, Cardopusher employs a bass slap sample for the low-end duties. The whole vibe of the track has a very 90's digital feel to it and we don't complain. Casio FTW
Closing the first-side *Never Fade Away* uses the same kinds of sound but on a more freestyle-oriented genre.
Last of the bunch, Mental Jobs sees the producer go into Nu Groove-esque territory and surprises us with the ability to make more laid-back track, laid-back compared to the rest of EP at-least. More of a dj-friendly track for those early hours it has a strong atmosphere of its own and will get those feet to continue dancing.

Following on from last years The English Beach, White Rats is described as, "a collection of caustic and absurd portraits of the human animal". Oliver Ho continues to push his industrial influenced sound with metallic acid tracks, guitar noise/drone experiments and heavy synth wave once again with this nine track release.

The album sleeve features the disturbing and erotic photography of Javier Gallego Escutia, which also comes as a poster with limited edition copies of the record.

Everywhere I played it, people asked what it was… Recently, after having posted a clip of it online, an old friend by the name of @eric-prydz aka Cirez D asked me what it was and if he could have it. He was so into the track that he asked to do his own high-octane edit of it, and I was thrilled with the result. We toyed with the idea of keeping it as a top-secret weapon for personal use, but decided to share it with the world instead. Cititrax is excited to present the third in a series of four song samplers showcasing the talents of some of the most innovative producers of the moment. Cititrax: Tracks Volume Three features the a powerful new collaboration between Amato (aka The Hacker) and Mariana Saldana (ex-Medio Mutante, Boan), the brutal industrial techno of Barcelona based British producer The Sixteen Steps, a Polish mastermind based in Miami known as His Dirty Secrets, and the NYC underground duo Further Reductions (Shawn O’Sullivan and Katie Rose). The overall sound can be described as modern, uncompromising and guttural. Each artist reinvents dance music by bringing their own unique vision to the floor. 
Artwork designed by Veronica Vasicka and sourced from Polaroids shot in NYC clubs in the 1980s, Cititrax: Tracks Volume Three is pressed on blood red clear vinyl – limited to 999 copies and housed in a matte printed sleeve. Musiques Electroniques Actuelles presents U.S.O.C.A., side project of Jānis Sils launched some years after Bedre (Riga based minimal synth, punk act) stopped. This 6 tracks EP (to be released: June, 15th) includes compositions from 1991 to 1994, recorded in Chicago after Janis Sils emigrated from Riga, Latvia. Made with mostly self built instruments, here's an trash and solid industrial sound. Influenced by label Wax Trax! & bands like Laibach, Nine Inch Nails, Front 242, Lassigue Bendthaus... The world of U.S.O.C.A. reflects a strong talk to military minds. Something straight with no breathe. A uniting calling for masses.

"U.S.O.C.A. is an abbreviation of Urinating Statue Of Castrated Angel.
The name was adopted in early 90’s by the band members Jānis and Anna Sils in Chicago for an industrial EBM music project. Jānis Sils emigrated from Soviet  Latvia in 1989 and brought a vast underground electro punk music experience with him from his past musical project Bedre. Anna Sils at the time was a graduate of Georgetown University and a Law student in Chicago. Jānis was a fashion design student at the Art Institute of Chicago. Anna’s talent of English language writing mixed with Jānis’ creativity in sound design, midi programming and analog recording allowed them to produce these dark sounding tracks. All of the material was recorded at a home built studio using Yamaha RX5 rhythm programmer wired through midi to Roland S10 sampler that recorded samples onto Smith Corona type writer magnetic memory discs. The samples often were created from scratch and programming of songs was manually done by Jānis in a very primitive and time consuming way of the time. They stretched the capacity of the available equipment to the maximum and filtered the individual pads, samples and vocals through various effects processors and guitar distortion pedals. Digital pitch shifting was often used to modify vocals and drum machine beats.
The lyrics were written and edited by both Anna and Jānis in Latvian as well as in English languages often covering both Latvian, American or British popular songs with a sick sarcastic twist.
Later in their lives after separation Jānis landed his career in NYC as one of the heads of clothing design for several major American fashion brands and Anna works an attorney for a Swiss bank in Hong Kong. Both have successful careers and families with young children."

Djedjotronic joins Nitzer Ebb’s vocalist Douglas McCarthy for a new, 1-track collaborative EP on Boysnoize Records.

“Take Me Down” is a hard-hitting EBM monster anticipating Djedjotronic’s forthcoming debut album. Rolling metal-made arpeggiators punctuate Douglas’ dehumanized, screaming vocal cuts. Severe surveillance warnings echo among the walls of an industrial district. Order and law nullifies the individual in a never-ending 4/4 march, in the religious veneration of the God rhythm.

What would have become of D.A.F. if they had been signed to Trojan instead of Mute back in the day? Add a good pinch of absurdism and social realism in the vein of prized film director Roy Andersson and Vanligt Folk might just be the answer. The Gothenburg group’s name can be translated to ’common people’ and they make use of primitive electronics, drums and skewed vocals - ranging from harsh social commentary to the purely nonsensical - to create their own
take on body music. ’Hambo’ is the name of a traditional Swedish folk dance that was highly popular among the common people at the turn of the last century. With this album, Vanligt Folk juxtaposes the working class dance phenomena of Hambo with modern day rave culture. This is done in the most blasphemous manner thinkable, as is the way of Vanligt Folk. Concepts like nationalism, race and tradition are all treated with the same merry lack of reverence. The only thing that needs to be respected is The Dance and those who take part in it, whether
accompanied by accordions or drum machines. Or both. 
This album is a collaboration between Kontra-Musik and DJ veteran Rivet’s label Kess Kill.

After last years excellent discoveries from Volume 1, another batch of ‘lost’ and unreleased Dutch (cassette) material is coming back to the future. For this sequel we dug deep into the Dutch lowlands and again found some independent music that’s still relevant today. In the process we met even more amazing musicians and heard great stories from a distant-not-so-distant past. Expect a wide palette of DIY and experimental sounds by artists from Groningen, Zwolle, Arnhem, The Hague, Rotterdam, Tilburg and Deurne. Volume 2 will also feature a beautifully designed inlay with liner notes in Dutch and English. Mastered by Wouter Brandenburg, designed by Steele Bonus and compiled by Mark van de Maat.
