Aspiring rap artist Kenneth Gordon professionally known as Persistence was given the name based on his undeniable ability to paint pictures with words. As a child who grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, a seed was planted by the music he was brought up around. Persistence gravitated towards artist like 2pac & DMX, that possessed not only an authentic way with words but also the ability to reach people with their music. Persistence began taking things more seriously in 2013 at the age of 27. He wants to excel within the music industry so that he can do what he loves while also providing his family and loved ones with the security they need to thrive. Inspired by positive feedback from fans & other artists, Persistence appreciates being able to relate. The passing of Persistence's mother and grandmother encouraged him to develop “Gwen Records” in 2014, which is a record label based in Baton Rouge, La with the concept of family being at it’s core. Persistence’s overall goal is to open doors for others.
