In March of 2012, Erika Owen sat in a management class and decided to check out for the day. Instead of taking notes, she created a blog—Band Bombshell. Early on, the website focused on acts local to the Des Moines area. Since graduating from Drake University, she has moved to NYC and continues to cover bands, both local and international acts. At its core, Band Bombshell is all about showing local bands and musicians some love. 

Beginning in 2014, Band Bombshell has grown to include a growing team of writers and photographers. If you're interested in being a part of the Band Bombshell team, send us an email.
