Hailing from the bustling party town of Maidstone in Kent, John Wells; the founding father of Illuminati started his musical journey from a tender age, swapping bedtime stories for house, techno, reggae and soul.
Fast forward to the age of 18 and "Ryse" was performing at London’s elite underground clubs. Area in Vauxhall, Fire & Lightbox and Egg became his regular haunts, alongside international bookings at the epicentre of dance music; Ibiza.
2012 marked the next phase in his love affair with the rave industry, trying his hand as a party promoter and landing a host of heavyweight shows. Not satisfied with just DJing and promoting, JR Wells delved into the studio and learnt the art of production. A series of eclectic productions have since followed, all of which embody his broad musical taste designed to make sound systems rumble.

Louis Millne is a UK-based DJ and producer whose groove-driven, club-focused sound has become a consistent presence within the underground electronic scene. Known for balancing energy with restraint, his productions are built with the dancefloor firmly in mind and are regularly championed by some of the scene’s most influential selectors.

Following a strong run of releases throughout 2024 and 2025 on labels including Sola, Issues, Take Notes Trax and Short Circuit, Louis established himself as a reliable name within the modern underground. During this period, his music received support from artists such as Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati and Paco Osuna, while a collaboration with Alex Culross was awarded Arielle Free’s BBC Radio 1 Big Whopper. He was also hand-picked as one of Elrow’s Top 10 Up and Coming Artists, further cementing his growing profile.

At the end of 2025, Louis released Second Guessing on Dosmundos, his most impactful record to date. The track earned widespread support from Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, East End Dubs, Max Dean, ALISHA, Obskur, Skream and more, and reached #3 in the Beatport Deep / Minimal Singles Chart, marking a defining moment in his catalogue.

Louis’ 2026 output opens with Touched, released on Take Notes and accompanied by a remix from label owner Mahony. Further releases are scheduled on Repopulate Mars and Moan, continuing a focused and increasingly international release run.

Alongside his studio output, Louis has performed across the UK and Europe, appearing at leading parties and festivals including CIRCUS, Creamfields, ABODE and Kaluki, alongside shows in Ibiza, Romania, the Netherlands and Malta. His DJ sets reflect the same control and groove that define his productions - functional, energetic and built for long-form dancefloors.

As 2026 unfolds, Louis Millne continues to build momentum through a refined sound, a consistent release schedule and growing international presence, positioning himself as a credible and forward-moving figure within the underground.
