He himself was fed up with fighting.

He forgets what he was trying to do.
The sense of time also becomes vague.

What is about to begin is his last dungeon.
What he will find there are new rules and ordeals.


All of his weapons have become old and some of them are no longer usable.
He may have already forgotten how to read a map or how to fight.

He can't move like he used to anymore.
It's hard to understand the new rules.

Just a little impromptu-ish take on "Anything You Can Do" from Irving Berlin's 1946 musical "Annie Get Your Gun".
I was joined by mezzo-soprano Bethan Morris, and the piano track was provided by Helen Roberts.

We were making a cake, and found that we are altogether much more fond of fondant than of guns...and honestly who would sign up for a mass shooting if they could join a cake tasting instead..

The core of this track is the contrast between the quiet, vulnerable vocal and the overwhelming, dense soundscape.

Haze and Distortion: Expect endless layers of guitar over-gain and cavernous reverb. The music is meant to swirl and absorb you—it’s the sound of "static turns to silver rain."

The Emotional Core: The lyrics are built on moments of frozen time—"Freeze me in your failing light." The melody is melancholy, but the sound is an act of pure, powerful surrender.
