Had a mess around with patching the Volca Modular today and came up with a nuts patch that seemed to resonate with me! Decided to construct some additional strange elements around it (using the Roland SH01, 2600, MicroKorg, and TR08) and record a take with some synth jamming on top (Odyssey and System 1).
Probably won't be everyone's cup of tea!

Trying to combine major and minor chords along with syncopation to see if it manifests the "scary optimism" of so much Techno that I love. Some of that is related to the sounds, but much of it comes from the mental approach to the track. Leaving in imperfections (timing or rhythm inconsistencies, misplaced notes, etc) seems to help achieve that.
