In a context of the potential destruction of nature by mankind, Mr. Lee delivers a somber and hovering music, depicting a cold and disembodied world from which a melancholy of these great lost spaces rises.
Behind an apparent blackness, his music alternates between softness and poetry in a world that has been ruined by technocracy. Allowing itself to a contemplative detour by the misty mountains, where sometimes the Asian origins and influences of the artist.

Bio

Behind the project Mr Lee hides Lee Lebens, a member of various ensembles including Old Jazzy beat Mastazz (hip-hop fusion / jazz / funk in the catalog Ca Balance Rock), The Vipers Rythms Band, The Swing Barons, La Voix de Ses Maîtres(French song) or Les Escargots du dimanche (gypsy jazz) where he officiates as a multi-faceted guitarist. Indeed, very early trained at the piano then guitar thanks to studies at the Jazz studio of Antwerp, then at the jazz conservatory of Maastricht, he decides to devote himself entirely to music. He began his first solo electro project "Mr Lee" in 2016 in order to explore another facet, more personal. 
Loving electronic music, he has always been bathed in Aphex Twin, Venitian Snares, Bonobo as in the harder drum 'n' bass and breakcore loops of the late '90s.

More recently, he also draws his inspirations in the styles chill out, future bass of artists like Flume or Fakear.

Dans un contexte de potentielle destruction de la nature par l'homme, Mr Lee livre une musique sombre et planante, dépeignant un monde froid et désincarné d'où s'élève une mélancolie de ces grands espaces perdus.
Derrière une apparente noirceur, sa musique convoque tour à tour douceur et poésie au milieu d'un monde mis en ruines par la technocratie, s'autorisant des détours contemplatifs par les montagnes brumeuses de l'archipel coréen où pointent parfois les origines et influences asiatiques de l'artiste.

Derrière le projet Mr Lee se cache Lee Lebens , membre de diverses formations dont Old Jazzy beat Mastazz (fusion hip-hop/jazz/funk dans le catalogue Ca balance Rock), The Vipers Rythms Band, The Swing Barons (jazz swing), La voix de ses Maîtres (chanson française) ou encore (feu) Les Escargots du dimanche (jazz manouche) où il officie comme guitariste multi-facettes. En effet, très tôt formé au piano puis à la guitare grâce à des études au Jazz studio d'Anvers, puis au conservatoire de jazz de Maastricht, il décide de se consacrer entièrement à la musique.

Fort de ces multiples expériences qui le rompent à l'exercice de la scène et de la composition, il se lance en 2016 dans son premier projet solo electro "Mr Lee" afin d'explorer une autre facette, plus personnelle. Amoureux de musiques électroniques, il baigne depuis toujours dans Aphex Twin, Venitian Snares, Bonobo comme dans les boucles plus hard de drum 'n' bass et breakcore de la fin des années 90.

Plus récemment, il puise également ses inspirations dans les styles chill out, future bass d'artistes comme Flume ou encore Fakear.
