Flat Ground is a DJ originally from the Darkinjung (Central Coast, AU) but now based in Eora (Sydney AU), who found a love for electronic and bass music through his brother who started to take him to outdoor bush parties. Over time, the drum and bass scene in the doof community increased and that's what helped him find a genre that he wanted to pursue.

Drawing inspiration from the pulsating energy of the Australian doof scene and the electrifying warehouse party culture in Eora, Flat Ground has honed his craft, shaping a distinct style of drum and bass that is deep, dark, and minimal, with a psychedelic essence that captivates the senses.

A true doof staple, Flat Ground has left his mark on events such as Armada, The Kibbutz, Art Valley, and Omni Fields. His seamless blend of half-step, dark and minimal dnb, infused with elements of deep dnb, creates an immersive sonic experience that pushes boundaries and transcends conventional norms.

Had my first Kosmos gig on Saturday on 22.7.2023 at the magical Cosmic Circus!!!! Thank you for everyone who were listening and dancing to my set, appreciate and love you so much<3 And also thank you for everyone who has been supporting me to get this far<3 And thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouTHANKYOU to my favourite dnb-bros to making me part of the Bass Indicates KRU<3<3<3 I was so happy to hear the news I started screaming n crying<3 I guess this is how people feel when they get proposed<3<3<3 So proud to get to officially be part of this group that has been bringing so much good things & good music & support & friendships & love into my life the past couple of years<3 Loveyouloveyouloveyou<3 And a big thank you to my fellow players from that day, amazing sets<3 Had so much fun and had so many amazed moments listening to them<3 You are my dnb family<3

As I'm posting this, I still haven't even heard the whole set through myself :DDD  But I had fun! I dared to play my own tracks, I dared to try the mashups I had not really practised yet and also the ones I knew gonna be difficult...  I know I have to listen to the set a few times to stop hearing only the "mistakes" I made (I hear plenty, others said they didn't, but I heard :D ) and feel the set as a whole. But yeah! Had fun! Exceeded myself and my fears. And after listening to it a few times I'll hopefully know what things to do differently next time and hopefully hopefully will get to play there again!

Words cannot sufficiently convey how incredibly honoured I feel to have played at my favourite festival this past weekend. 🐉

It was such a beautiful weekend overflowing with cathartic release, a chance to escape reality, and the opportunity to connect with a multitude of extraordinary souls, both familiar and new.

Stepping away from the confines of ordinary life and into a playground full of vibrant, creative and joyous beings was truly heart-filling.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to those who embraced the late-night chill, allowing me to guide them on a journey in the wee hours of Sunday morning. It was a very humbling experience to create a space for connection and be present with all of you.

This set holds a profound significance in my heart, not solely for gracing my favourite festival's stage but also for the deliberate curation that went into its creation. It serves as a poignant depiction of the myriad emotions I've traversed in the past year — joy, grief, tension, self-reflection, euphoria, and contemplation. Presenting this set became an emotionally charged and profoundly cathartic voyage of healing for me.

Big love to everyone involved with Dragon Dreaming and to all the souls I was fortunate enough to share space with throughout this magical weekend. ❤️‍🔥
