The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Lindsey Herbert. The American producer, DJ and EvilGroove Records co-founder is one of the leading figures of the American techno scene and has taken her sound around the world. Also a resident at Techno Snobs (AZ) and Direct To Earth (SF), she's been on of the most important artists on West Coast and continues to push underground sounds and sound design. This set was recently recorded live on June 21, 2024 at the legendary Tresor in Berlin where Herbert delivered her signature sound.

"I play slower than usual in this mix. What I really like at the moment is that all the sounds have a lot more space and you can hear the great details of the tracks. 

The mix has a very deep, hypnotic atmosphere. I tried to create an epic, less action-packed beginning, and towards the end the tracks get a bit more energetic and heavier. 

I move between 133-135 bpm. 
I took inspiration from artists like Mike Parker and ORBE and many others. Very hypnotic and deep tracks. Dive into a dark, hypnotic journey. With rolling techno tracks with repetitive sounds and driving, textured sounds. I’ve chosen sounds that invite you to listen differently for a moment and connect with the timeless essence of music. With a certain sombreness and simplicity mixed with bassline, it invites you to savour the richness of the sounds that have shaped us while maintaining a deep intensity."

Known for blending the soul of Techno with a modern, unorthodox approach, Temudo's music is characterised by gritty, futuristic sounds, with a signature motif resembling a rusty crank pounding into a brick wall. In 2023, Temudo embarked on a new journey into live performance, delivering spontaneous sets that challenge traditional expectations. Each live set is a unique, improvised act where he pushes the boundaries of Ableton to its sonic limits. 

"The main idea is that the music of that recording didn’t exist before the performance itself. It was all created on the flow, one idea after the other, through the control of sequencers, Lfos, arpeggiators and other complex midi processing, as well as virtual synthesizers and sound processors. I would have an idea playing for the audience, and would prepare the next one (by pre listening on the headphones) and would eventually blend both."
