In 2019 in Agrigento, Sicily the Amethyst project was born from Antonio Drago and Salvatore Bertolino, who have been working together for several years.

The Italian duo's second release on circulate—and their first full length album—comes in the form ‘INSIDE OUR WLRD’: 12 tracks that range from inquisitive and ethereal to pulsating, peak-time techno.

In their own words: “INSIDE OUR WRLD was created with the scope of letting people inside our world through emotions or values that emerge listening to our album. Life is hard and sometimes we need to isolate ourselves in our own world… in order to think about how to be stronger.”

With each track associated with a number and letter, one may ask—why the short titles? For Amethysts, in their world only the essence exists and not the excess.

Lucas Jaaber ist DJ und Producer und für seinen harten „straight forward“ Techno bekannt. Der gebürtige Hamburger ist seit vielen Jahren in der Underground Szene in Hamburg unterwegs und hat bereits in den meisten namenhaften Clubs Hamburgs aufgelegt.

Des Weiteren ist er Teil der Veranstaltungsreihe Second Impulse und hat 2022 unter selben Namen mit Claas Herrmann zusammen sein eigenes Label gegründet.
 
Mittlerweile ist Lucas viel rumgekommen und hat bereits in Berlin, Hamburg, Hannover, Ibiza, Leipzig, Lübeck, Lüneburg und Oldenburg aufgelegt. Das Highlight seiner Karriere hatte Lucas, als er 2021 vor Shlømo aufgelegt hat. Seitdem ist Lucas oft als Voract für wahre Größen des Hard Technos dabei gewesen. Als DJ wurde Lucas bereits mit DJs wie Shlømo, Sleeparchive, Angy Kore, Gabriel Padrevita, FLUG, Steve Shaden, Zeltak und weitere gebucht.
 
Als Producer ist Lucas für seinen harten aber groovig, teils hypnotischen Sound bekannt. Sein erstes Release im September 2022 auf seinem eigenen Label hat es bereits mit zwei Tracks in die Beatport Top100 geschafft, welche mittlerweile auch von großen Acts gespielt worden sind.

Belgian duo @joyhauser are perfectionists, and it shows. Their releases aren’t sent out into the universe until they’re just right, and the Think People EP is a fulsome explosion of powerhouse techno, crafted with meticulous care. 

The title track is a barnstormer loaded with everything you need to ignite a warehouse: pumping kicks, synth blasts mimicking smoke machines, and huge bassy blurts that cut through the mix like an oncoming train. “Molly” doesn’t let up where that let off. Rattling percussion and haunting synths are the precursor to a cheeky voiceover that confirms exactly which “molly” they’re talking about. Lashes of acid heighten the energy, creating a trance-like state that endures for the duration. @michaelkleinberlin’s remix of “Think People”, meanwhile, bears the German producer’s trademark energy. Ravey synths peal over the top of a delicious thump, snatched vox and an incessant shuffling beat, trading the bite of the original for something slightly less dark. 

Joyhauser are rising stars and Second State is delighted to release their first full EP on Pan-Pot’s label – put your seatbelts on and start the journey!
