To truly be innovative, you have to not only create something exciting and new, but you have
to have the courage to follow it all through and lead the way. Since first launching himself into
the music scene back in 2006 – D-SAN, ., has been a constant force in music and inspiration to
the scene.
Officially the pioneer of what is now known worldwide as “Sunny Coast Music;” this
rapper/producer is well known throughout Australia as the man responsible for these GFunk/
South Beats being twisted & flipped into an Aussie-script. With this unique flavor and
spin – this “Sunny Coast Music” he’s creating is a perfect example of how having that
courage to go your own way will bring the people to you.
D-SAN, along with his reputation for musical-excellence, have taken this sound as far as clear
across the world. Whether discovering it online or on-record, his fan-base of dedicated music
fans have been following his sound intently and listening to it evolve over time.
Forming a tight bond with a Japanese Hip-Hop label known as RSE, D-SAN was featured upon
multiple recordings between 2010-2013 as he continued to develop and refine his style before
eventually making another huge move in his career in Creating his own Music Label “ COAST
ROCK RECORDS”
As 2014 carried on, the change had proven to be a completely successful one.
After spending nearly a decade perfecting the “Sunny Coast Music” that Australia now
knows and loves, all of that innovation and creativity along the way have blazed the trail for DSAN
to be at the very forefront of Australian Hip-Hop. His determination and leadership make
him a natural at the mic or behind the boards producing; his ability to relate & create vibrant
party atmospheres have kept people following the Sunny Coast sound wherever they can find
it no matter where they are in the world. They were rewarded once again on 09/31/2015 when
D-SAN officially dropped2nd Mixtape on DATPIFF Titled SUNNY SIDE UP.
A sucessful reception and packed show for the debut release proved that D-SAN Has earned his
spot in Aussie Hip Hop and he plans to now take it to the world.
