Ree.K is a true legend of the psychedelic electronic music culture in Japan. She began her music career in 1984 and is active as a DJ since 1992. She set up Space Gathering, her original party organization, in 1997. She released her first DJ mix CD (Cubism) in 2001 and started her own label  - Hypnodisk in 2002. She never stopped creating and playing since and we are super happy to have a mix from her for Trancentral.

It was like a dream. From the moment I was diagnosed with a form of Leukemia, my goal was to play music again. For months and months survival chances were not too big, and dj-ing was a far away fantasy. Untill Surya Spirits. A Belgian festival happening 10km away from the hospital. Almost 3 months I was in the hospital and the doctors understood the importance of this gig so they allowed me to play (and return immediately after). It was magic. It was fantastic. It was all I could dream of. It was... The healing power of music. It was raining cats and dogs untill I started to play (literally) and the sun broke through a few minutes after. The crowd gathered, stomping in the mud while smiling in the sun. I adapted my set to a euphoric, emotional, melodic story. Because that is how I felt in that afternoon sun. Celebrate life! And yes... I knew immediately, yes, this is one of the main reasons why I will heal! Of course there is still a long way to go, but if I am having a bad time, I put myself on the bed, close my eyes and bring the memories back of this gig. Sunshine, happy people and an energy I rarely felt before! Thank you lovely trance tribe, you gave me life and made my life rich! ❤

This is a rare and insightful glimpse into the roots of the modern psychedelic trance sound—a genre born from the convergence of global influences and personal awakenings. From the serene shores of Goa emerged a new musical wave, one that transformed not only the sonic landscape but also gave rise to an entire culture. Through the nomadic lifestyle of those early freaks, this culture carried its influence far beyond the beaches of India, leaving sonic fingerprints on the electronic scenes of Ibiza, England, and beyond. The global movement we now associate with electronic music owes much to these barefoot innovators and their magnetic gatherings under open skies.

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, beauty and innovation emerged from the disillusionment of European producers, who traded their darker, heavier tones for something more vibrant, hypnotic, and alive.

Driven by deep, repetitive rhythms and hypnotic bass lines, this soundscape turned Goa’s beaches and jungles into playgrounds of fluorescence and ecstatic dance. Of course, the journey wasn’t without its challenges—not every traveler on these shores welcomed the music with open arms. In fact, some early DJs even had to hire bodyguards to protect themselves from occasional hostility.

Yet, the music endured. It evolved. And it continues to do so—ever-shifting, expanding, spiraling outward like the great cosmic dance of creation and dissolution.

One of the Pioneers in the PsyTrance scene, S-Range never holds back from experimenting, and he’s always conjuring up exotic soundscapes.
From across Australia, Brazil, Israel, India, Japan, Mexico, USA, to all over Europe, the trancers have swayed to the beats of his Live & DJ sets.

Armed with four albums, this Swedish artist is a heavy-hitting veteran- his first track hit the airwaves back in 1999, and since then there’s been no looking back. He’s a master at sending sonic frequencies laced with hypnotic grooves, sweet harmonies, all influenced by his deep love of science-fiction.

After his massively popular debut album “2001” on Spiral Trax recordings he released “Space”- a high-energy masterpiece loaded with otherworldly sounds. 2005 saw the release of his highly acclaimed album “Another Theory” - released in a limited promo edition on Liquid Records.

Celebrating more then a decade of music producing, S-Range released a remix album in 2009, aptly titled “Remixed Memories.” 
S-Range is a true sound wizard with numerous chart toppers, collaboration and remixes, during recent years he has released a number of EP's on various labels such as Echoes records, Digital Reality, Iboga Records and Atmo-Tech recordings to mention a few.

The hiatus is over, and he returns in 2025 with a ton of new music – albums, ep’s, exciting new projects!!
