"Illusion" is an ambient track with cinematic shades and a dreamlike atmosphere. Soft textures and drifting harmonies create a sense of weightless escape, where reality blurs and imagination quietly takes over. A gentle soundscape meant to be felt as much as heard — fragile, ethereal, and hypnotic. Its sonic landscape evokes the child within us, carrying the quiet courage we sometimes lose as we grow older.

New single this December from the French producer Plage 84, “rideau de crystal” starts with a kick and a melancholic arp, and develops with a stunning vocoder top line that eventually leads to a climax full of harmonies and natural vocals. The arp textures and the orchestral, organic violins bring a more elevated side to the progression throughout this 2’58 track. Written in French, this song fits perfectly with the end of the year and a winter feeling full of poetry, love, and nature.

“Ouro Enfim” is an unexpectedly blissful collaboration between Brazilian participant Luisa Puterman and Belgian participant Roman Hiele. On his previous albums and via releases on his Ekster label, Hiele’s productions tend towards alternately fierce and pastoral electronic abstraction, but “Ouro Enfim” reflects his love for bossa nova grooves. His contributions support Puterman’s beautifully understated melodies, which chime easily throughout the sunny arrangement. The result is utterly relaxing and transportive, with luscious Rhodes seeping into corners carved out by a blunt bassline. The lead and background vocals are provided by an unexpected guest: RBMA Paris lecturer and former lead singer of Stereolab, Lætitia Sadier, who turns in a sumptuous performance.

The original from 1972 is a fantastic 12 minutes long and one of my favourite Fela tracks.
I wanted a shorter version to fit in a set though, so I've chopped it down a bit and rearranged a few pieces.
