Urban MIDI was created in early 2015s for the love of music. Taking it to the next level, there was born a record label with the signature Unknown Civilian, with the scope of sharing the good and pure vibes into the world, combining the urban landscape with the perfection of music only found in nature.

We will keep it simple and let the music speak.

Project89 is the alias of Amsterdam based DJ and producer Jeroen Broxterman. After his debut on PIV in 2017 he followed up with Ben Rau’s META, Santé’s AVOTRE and Audio Rehab. With tracks hitting charts and support from artists who inspired him, Project89 is flourishing. 

Project89’s attention was grabbed by UK Garage at fifteen and he soon started to try and make his own tunes. But it was not until he heard artists such as Maja Jane Coles, Dennis Ferrer and the Martinez Brothers that he found his true musical identity. The motivated young artist spent many hours learning from tutorials and within a year was collaborating with legend Todd Terry. Project89 went from playing Claire Amsterdam to festivals such as Free your Mind and internationally the Ministry of Sound London. Jeroen has learnt how to take a crowd on a journey with his stripped back hypnotic deep tech sound. 

With Chris Stussy, Prunk, Ben Rau, Archie Hamilton, Sidney Charles, Santé and many more playing his music, the future is looking bright for Project89.

Victor Montero, also known as VICEZ, is a DJ / Producer, multi-instrumentist, singer and a powerful mixing engineer that has been taking the night life to the next level. With many years of experience in the scene, he has shared stage with big-name dj’s such as Dennis Cruz, Magda, Timo Maas, Nick Curly, HOSH,  M.A.N.D.Y, Cocoon’s Andre Galluzzi, Frank Lorber and more, has perform at some at most prestigious venues and festivals in Panama, Dominican Republic and New York.
He has created his own sophisticated sound; Influenced by deep atmospheres and a minimalist aura, he has developed passion for analog synthesizers and sound design; which made him qualified to produce a mixture of underground electronic music with a groovy feeling. It’s a fact that he knows how to bring good vibes and an epic quality sound to the dancefloor.

All our files are available in high-quality mastered 24-bit .wav format. We provide them in this format to ensure optimal streaming quality, although some DJ gear may not support it. If needed, you can convert the files to 16-bit .wav or .mp3 before putting them on your USB stick.
