In September 2017, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2 celebrated 50 years since they launched. Central to the celebrations was BBC Radio 1 Vintage, a 3-day station celebrating the presenters and programmes of the last 50 years.

To image and promote the station we blended the music and imaging of the last 5 decades with long-time Radio 1 voice over, John Wells. JAM Creative Productions made many of the original sung jingles for BBC Radio 1, and so we asked them to help us create the sound of Radio 1 Vintage.

This is just some of the audio we produced to brand and promote BBC Radio 1 Vintage.

“I've been bless with a voice, which I would like to share with the world”, that is what Amanda White believes in.

She comes from a very musical background; her mother is a singer and her father is a musician, so it was no surprise, music was also in her blood. 
From an early age she has loved jazz, and has relentlessly pursued her talent as a jazz singer. The industry and the whole country saw her rise to fame in 1996.

She was the winner of her heat, in the T.V Show: ‘STARS IN THEIR EYES’ singing as the legendary JAZZ SINGER, ‘DINAH WASHINGTON’ with “IM MAD ABOUT THE BOY”.
Then in 2008, she went on tour in and around England with a musical pageant called; ‘BLACK HEREO’S IN THE HALL OF FAME’ for 6 months, as the jazz singer, ‘Dinah Washington’. 

Amanda has also extended her talents to doing commercials and jingles. She also became very popular with many advertising companies. Her voice could be heard on, “THE CROWN PAINT” advert, for the ‘Granada Television Company’. 

Not afraid to explore new avenues, Amanda has employed the help of ‘Papa Ray’ her new manager, together they are forging steps in other musical areas.

JAM are Pick Of The Pops on Radio 2

Radio 2 are starting 2013 with a new collection of jingles for Tony Blackburn’s Pick Of The Pops programme from JAM – Dallas resings of authentic classics from the 80’s and 90’s. 

The latest cuts, which were chosen by Tony and Radio 2, complement the existing Pick Of The Pops PAMS resings which S2blue have produced over the last few years. Whereas the PAMS cuts reflect 60’s and 70’s the latest cuts were chosen to fit with the 80’s and 90’s tracks played in the show.

Sung in Dallas at JAM, the cuts were chosen from original packages from the time, giving them that famous JAM sound.

Jonathan Wolfert, president of JAM Creative Productions in Dallas, said:  "JAM created the jingle imaging heard on Radio 2 for 21 years, spanning the 70s, 80s and 90s.  An entire generation of UK radio listeners grew up hearing JAM jingles along with their favourite songs.  Now, as that music is played again by the legendary Tony Blackburn on "Pick of the Pops", I think it's great that our jingles will once again be heard on Radio 2.  We have always been very proud of the quantity and quality of work JAM has done for the BBC through the years, and look forward to a new and continuing relationship."
