I am extremely proud to announce the first release on my label, ZIP Promotions. It has been a great experience working with the artist, Mr Bryan Austin and a privilege to have been in direct contact with the songwriter - legendary Motown songwriter, Janie Bradford, who has encouraged us at every stage. Bryan Austin is a singer-songwriter, recording artist, who has been blessed with a three & a half vocal range (highlighted by his falsetto) Born & raised in St. Louis, Mo. Bryan is an internationally recognized recording artist. He lived in Los Angeles, Ca. for 17 years where he worked with some of L.A.'s finest bands, choirs, etc; even appeared at The Sahara Hotel (Las Vegas). Since moving to Kansas City, Mo. and rededicating his life to the Lord, he has been blessed with a mobile music ministry which takes him to many different churches of many different denominations.

His latest release on 7 inch vinyl, available from early August is a tribute to the late-great Mr. Marvin Gaye & written by Legendary Hall Of Fame Songwriter Ms. Janie Bradford entitled "What Would Marvin Say?". 
The flip side is a fabulous Sweet Soul version of the The Moments ‘Sunday’ that Bryan recorded in 2000 with the late great Oliver Sain

Its not often you stumble upon a 9 piece soul band, who were so close to signing a deal with mca's new subsidiary Source records. But group politics and other factors got in the way, and the band shelved what music they had recorded. No reels surfaced but fortunately a member had kept some of those 1978 recordings.  BETWEEN THE TWO seemed to fuse great  soul compositions without the durge  of the disco era circa 1978. . With well thought out lyrics, backed by keys, trumpets and a driving bassline we really are pleased to add the group to the Super Disco Edit roster

Back in the late 80s, the singer simply known as ‘RUSHING’ was a local sensation, performing to sold out crowds whenever he was booked for Chicagoland performances. No surprise when you hear the vocals on these incredible songs.
Both songs were recorded in 1987, but never released. Thankfully the the original reels were kept and have been restored, transferred and mastered for a vinyl release thirty three years later!
