This an ecstatic set I played for a Cacao Ceremony event -> Dance Under The Stars at The Green Village where I crafted a musical journey beyond the multicultural rhythms and the steady hypnotic beat where ephemeral chanting of sacred songs and calls to love, kindness and compassion will journey deep into dance while held in a ceremonial container, free of alcohol to close the event.

Au commencement d’un périple, on ne réalise jamais vraiment qu’il a débuté. 
Si le chemin diverge, évoluant de sentiers en autoroutes d'asphalte, la destination reste la même. C’est en cherchant la trace que l’âme se révèle, et en s’en écartant qu’elle embrasse le monde. 
The Same Law, c’est un regard vers l’horizon, depuis un radeau à la dérive ou depuis le sommet d’un mont. Comme un miroir des antagonismes de l’époque, prenez place dans le regard d’un observateur aguerri.
The Same Law ou La même loi, est le premier EP délivré par Bendja sur le label Hadra Altervision. Loin des standards du genre, ces 4 tracks offrent un regard différent sur la Bass Music, puisant aussi profondément dans le fuzz rock que dans le trip hop. Toujours sous l’égide d’un psychédélisme moderne, Bendja en propose sa vision, à la croisée d’inspiration 70’s et de designs sonores actuels.

If the path splits, evolving from trails to asphalt highways, the destination remains the same. It is by seeking the track that the soul reveals itself, and by deviating from it that it embraces the world.. The Same Law is a gaze to the horizon, from a drifting raft or from the top of a mountain. Like a mirror of actual antagonisms, take the seasoned observer’s place and look through his eyes. 
The Same Law is the first EP released by Bendja on Hadra Altervision Records. Far from the genre standard, these four tracks offer a different glance on Bass music, profoundly inspired from fuzz rock as much as trip hop. Under the aegis of a modern psychedelism, Bendja offers his outlook from it, at the crossroads of 70’s vibes and current sound designs.

Endless Night

I finally post here a recording from the Ethereal Decibel Festival 2023! 
I may replace this audio with the 90min version when I get the chance.

This was a 5am set, so it was definitely out of my comfort zone to set up in the dark, after a sleepless night and carrying all my equipment around for the 12 hour trip (that damn guitar can be so heavy), so the result is not as clean as what I make in my cozy studio setup, but I will cut myself some slack. Regardless, it was a WONDERFUL experience and I thank the festival organizers and Arnaud who booked me. Also, what a beautiful stage the Nest is! 

I hope to be back soon with a deep slow techno act next time...! ∞

Zymosis - Rarities and Singles (Altar Records, 2023)

Ukrainian psychill producer Zymosis is renowned for his ethereal and melodic take on psychedelic downtempo music. Fans of his albums have long wondered about tracks that were one-offs, promos, rare or otherwise unreleased.
