A happy birthday

had a song idea for a little while, and a recent acquisition brought the whole thing together. (also sorry about the drum machine)

Happy Accidents

Unfortunately this was the last one I was able to get close to done in the 10 days. I wanted to put synth on a lot of tracks that i did and finally got a little fed up not. so I recorded one take of me just messing around and added to it. lotta fun with a little bittersweet last time

Day 8: Good Blessings

running out of ideas sucks, sitting around smacking a E chord can kinda be fun. about maxwell from the beatles song

Day 6: Take A Deep Breath

This was by far the simplest song in concept, and the hardest one to record. For some dumb reason I wanted to do the vocals and guitar at the same time. took hours, so much so that I didn't really have time for any of the other tracks. I do dig the bass in this though, and the miller box drums 

Day 5: Sandra

I wanted to try something a little out of my comfort zone. a little bowie style lyrics, some progressive changes, and a slowed down beat. was interesting.

Day 4: Clockwerk

I messed this one up and had to make do. hence the weird vocal pattern. (also dig that hidden piano)

Day 3: Theif

I really like this song, but hate how i recorded it. I'll probably come back to this one another time.

Day 2: Doctor Doctor

So me and a friend decided to write and record a song all from scratch a day for 10 days. It was a lot of fun here is the first day. so this was intended to be the intro track to the "album" and was in thought supposed to have a lot more going on in it. BUT, it was day one and I hadn't quite sussed out my time(and talent) limitations. this is a little bit of a mess but gave me an idea of what was to come.

Day 1: 4 am

After All

I've debated sharing this for a while now. This is a demo I made for a song awhile back and sent to my band mates. I sent it with the guide vocals planning to record decent ones at a later point, unfortunately my tascam crashed and wiped everything so this is the only version of the song in existence. I'm not knowledgeable enough to cut the vocals and replace them, but I love the instrumentation on this a lot. Sooo, here it is, unbearable vocals and all

I made this awhile ago and really liked the story. as always I would have loved to have added more to it, including another verse but its been sitting around for so long I figure i'm kinda done with it(maybe).
