Some of our art is made on computers, some of it is made by hand. We are particularly interested in that gray area in between where you cant really tell. All of what we create here is one work laid out in segments, all connected. The Mystic Tape Deck universe is vast and explores all manner of adding meaning to our lives, while pondering meaninglessness.

Welcome to The Pleasant Company, a subsidiary of Mystic Tape Deck where everything is pleasant and nothing is ever wrong.

We make soundscapes and gobs of wonderful noise.

In our long history together communing through the Mystic Tape Deck, we have recorded tons and tons of ooey-gooey-experimental-goop in addition to our more structured musical forays. This is the place where we will share that material from across the oxide layer.
Put on your heavy atmosphere gear and dive in.

Most of this is two primary artists, but also a rotating cast of invisible trans-corporeal weirdos who magically materialized in our studio at the perfect moment when the tape was running. Also, a few unsuspecting folks were captured along the way. We keep them all in elaborately adorned cages, but it is a pleasant 72 degrees all of the time.

Disclaimor: Trying to write a song a day or at least 5 a week, by noon. All songs written and recorded in a couple hours and are strictly demos to be reworked later. Bare with me...
