Autumn is well and truly on the way. The leaves are turning, the trees are starting their slow undressing and the days are getting shorter. But with longer shadows comes more time for sitting around with the cans on, getting lost on new sonic adventures.

The label Limbe discloses itself with its first release ‘Le Bord du Disque', a compilation of 4 French newcomers ready to take you on a journey between House, Acid and Lo-fi.

The B-side starts with a slap and the title 'Sakuraï’ by S36 from Amiens. This mighty track shoot us off on the battlefield with its Acid melody and its sharp claps. Voluntarily erased pads complete the work by sending our brain far above, the separation of body and mind is in place.

Signal Flare is Sound Transitions’ fourth release as a label and the very first for California-based newcomer, Gloved Hands. Soul Clap. Whenever I see those two words I can't resist the urge to click, listen or watch. "What are these guys cooking up now?" is my first thought, the second "of course they are". The creative, tirelessly inventive and downright dirty duo are celebrating the beginning of their new house music imprint House of EFUNK, (a name you've no doubt seen flying around as the title of their electrifying touring party series). The Boston boys are back from their cosmic travels and you will want to hear delights they have returned with. Treasure in the form of two tracks 'Jupiter Cush' and 'Natural Bliss', fortunately, we have the honour of premiering the B Side of the first Soul Clap EP of 2019 EFUNK01, the track is entitled 'Natural Bliss'. 

What we have here is a musical compound made up of buzzing particles of sonically stunning vocals, sounds of intergalactic laser warfare, warm piano chords, comforting funky percussion and muted basslines. 'Natural Bliss' will transport you back into the early days of Marshall Jefferson, before throwing you up through the stratosphere, where you will be caught for a moment in a cosmic jungle with echoes of the rhythms beneath. Paradoxically (in true Soul Clap fashion), the track incorporates futuristic yet retro elements of synthy splendour and unpolished rugged drums that only add more texture and layers to this New York house-flavoured instrumental. 

The artistic pair, experiment with the deeper darker side of sophisticated, electro-funk and deep house releasing similar music off the renowned Soul Clap Records a few years back. Further to this, they collaborated with Wolf + Lamb, Double Standards Records back in 2013 to create Crew Love, which is of course, was another successful idea made possible by the likes of Nick Monaco, PillowTalk, No Regular Play coming together to bring pure uplifting music to world. Adding House of EFUNK to the Soul Clap life story is certainly a wise move for the duo and lovers of soulful house music everywhere. Shout outs to Lee Curtiss for mixing down this sell-out EP he really has accentuated the signature Soul Clap freshness.

Soul Clap are the future of house music. This would be a bold statement but their ability to time travel with their satisfying and truly original production techniques is unrivalled. Authentically conveying their message of fun, love and freakiness through tracks like 'Natural Bliss', the boys firmly cement their brand into the history of music.

Fresh in via serial offender solid record vendor, Axe on Wax is Verner with something a little askew from the norm at AOW HQ. With early support from the likes of Eclair Fifi, OR:LA and Peach, this is likely to be one of those that lasts long in the muscle memory of cue fingers around the globe.

Similar to his offering on Nachtbraker's Quartet series, Verner's work surmises to a considered collection of tracks, each sporting a heavy dose of funk - with this features Debby Coke EP flaunting equal levels of grit. Mirror Memory

Salin Records proudly presents Sable Blancs debut album „Homecoming“.

Each Salin Records release is about telling a story and taking you on a journey. The day Sable Blanc told us about the idea of producing an EP based on the memories of a trip to New York City he made with three close friends in the summer of 2018 we instantly fell in love with this idea. After a few months of intense work, it became an LP - Sable Blanc's debut album and also a debut for Salin Records as this is the first album for the label.

Inspired by the beautiful colors, outstanding energy and peace all around New York City that specific summer, Sable Blanc produced „Homecoming“. Every track on the album is about memories and friendship. For two reasons it felt like coming home for him. He lived a few years in the US and went to high school there. It was amazing to come back and finally meet a very close friend again.

Sable Blanc chose a photo for each track - taken by his friend Adrien Philibert - which connects to the moment that inspired the track. Daria Salin developed the photos using the cyanotype, an analogue photo development process that was also used for the cover background. Together with the stories that Sable Blanc tells about each photo, the cyanotypes build an artistic booklet that is a special feature of the album.

Homecoming is an album for a quiet, cosy evening, where you sit back in your favorite chair and hold the booklet in your hand to follow Sable Blanc and his friends on their trip to New York City.

For our 10th release, we're happy to welcome back our dear friend Sable Blanc, at his home label. The Parisian guy is constantly moving forward in his production skills and is unstoppable in his creativity.

With "Have Faith In People", he created a versatile EP going from jazz laden Drum 'n' Bass (Amour Gris) over sunny house vibes (Just Goodbye) to Hip-Hop instrumental beats (Easy Living). "Les Hirondelles de Mai" was one of the first tracks Sable Blanc came up with for this EP. It was written before we've ever heard of Covid-19 but the text line "Yes, I still have faith in people" is a message that couldn't be more on time, than now. Also, it shows the personality of the producer who strongly believes in mankind.

Christophe Salin fell in love with the powerful vibe of "Amour Gris" and couldn't resist to mould it into a dancefloor intended jazz house track in his very own way, enriched with his love for details.

Take a moment and hold the cover artwork (by Daria Salin) in your hands. Now try to see yourself on that beautiful beach beside that girl, meditating on life as you watch the Horizon. - Do you still have faith in People?
