Up next for my new music release! Yungchen Lhamo (Tibetan: lhamo meaning "goddess of song") is a Tibetan singer-songwriter living in the United States. She won the ARIA Award for Best World Music Album in 1995 and was then signed by Peter Gabriel 's Real World record label. She is accompanied on this track but the legendary Annie Lennox from The Eurythmics, and the blending of their powerful vocals sings to the soul in hope that we live a life with no regrets. An "unplugged" preview from my forthcoming album Elfhame. Not exactly raw acoustic, as there are virtual instruments here as well as some synth atmospheres, but "acoustic" was the handiest term I could think of for mixes without the usual heavy beat and bass of the main mixes.
I will be releasing the "acoustic mixes" as well as the usual dance mixes on my Bandcamp page. I hope you enjoy this quieter and more subtle version of the track, highlighting the framedrum , tamborine, and melodic elements.
About this tune : "Mirie It Is While Sumer Ilast" (Merry It Is While Summer Lasts) is the oldest English secular song with surviving notation, originating in the early 13th century. The lyrics are in Middle English, the language of Chaucer.

Here is the recording on the Ecstatic Journey I played on 16th July in Bremen for the Breminale Festival.

Some old bangers blended with some new ones!

Breminale is an annual festival organised by the city of Bremen during the co=urse of few days.
It includes countless stages and activities along the main river in the city centre and attract a lot of ppl.

Flash, a good friend of mine who is now taking care of the Ecstatic Dance Bremen, managed to bring the Ecstatic Dance within the festival and invited me to play. (Deep thankfulness and appreciation)

Hence the environment and crowd was a bit more various and different than a normal ecstatic.

Ppl from the festival were present and joined the dance for their first time.
Was pretty excited and curious on how to manage the Journey.

Not long after I started though, helped by the amazing local ecstatic Tribe, the dance floor was already warmed up and playful.

The open air venue was great, sound system was blasting and the energy builded up fast.

I felt fully welcome and has been hosted in an amazing way all the way through.

Referring to the range of values that a system can capture, represent, or reproduce. Dynamic range can be applied to audio, photography, or dance. In audio, it pertains to the difference between the softest and loudest sounds a device can accurately handle. In photography, dynamic range refers to the range of tones, from the darkest to the brightest, that a camera can capture.

In the context of ecstatic dance, dynamic range refers to the spectrum of movements and expressions a dancer can embody using motion, energy, and emotional states with fluidly and curiosity. From subtle and gentle motions to bold and powerful movements, this dance aims to stretch the dancer to their limits, in order to create a more immersive and transformative dance experience.
