Markus G. (born 1983 in Melle), was already enthusiastic about music at a young age. At that time, in his tender teenage years, his preferences lay in the guitar sounds of world-famous bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, etc. until he heard his first house tape in 1999. - Until he heard his first house tape in 1999. With his interest in this genre awakened, he attended his first house & techno party in 2000 at the Herford club "KICK" (now "X") with his best friend at the time. From that point on it was clear to him: "DJ, that's exactly my thing, I'm going to tackle that!" Starting with the then very successful Techno & Schranz (Chris Liebing, Marco Remus, DJ Rush, Terence Fixmer,etc.) he realised after two years of intensive practice that a change had to take place: time for House music!!! In 2003/04, after three years of slaving away, he was allowed to prove his skills and make the audience dance in the "Nachtarena" (often Viva Club Rotation) in Bielefeld. J.Y.M. came sixth out of 26 DJs, which increased his motivation immensely. Six months later, a gig at the "Elfenbein" in Herford, numerous private parties and a one-year creative break followed. During this time, he moved from Herford in North Rhine-Westphalia to East Frisia in the north-west of Germany. In 2005/06, more gigs followed at private events, at the "Airport" in Leer, where he made the plates dance together with ZWIEBACK and DJ Snaz, and at the DJ Contest at the "INDEX" in Schüttorf. In 2007 he continued at the "Katakomben" (ex-Ültje Werk) in Emden and at an open air event of the well-known "Powerhouse" series at the Top Ten in Burlage/Papenburg, where he performed his "Addictive To Turntablelism Set Vol. 6" (Link > Download My Mixes). The last time he was on the turntables was in February and March of this year at the "Elephante Club" in Leer and at the "Kuper" in Melstrup. In the meantime, his repertoire is dominated by electro-house sounds (also Chicago filter house), as he regrets that good funky stuff is produced more and more rarely and is not available on vinyl. But it doesn't matter with which facet of electronic dance music J.Y.M confronts the party crowd - with him it never gets boring! His many years of work have paid off. He puts his heart and soul into it, transfers his enthusiasm and euphoria to the party crowd and thus creates a super atmosphere. You could say he was born with the wonderful gift of DJing!
