This Frontier Needs Heroes is the moniker of singer-songwriter Brad Lauretti, who in various forms and lineup changes, has spent the past 10 years playing shows all over the world. One night with Brad will run the gamut of all human emotions from humour, hedonism, activism and heartbreaking sadness. From Folk-rock anthems, to indie folk, flares of cosmic americana, psychedelic, alt-country, to straight up storytelling sometimes you get it all in one song. Influenced by classic songwriters like John Prine, Billy Bragg, Kris Kristofferson, and Townes Van Zandt his timeless songs mix love, humor, and protest seamlessly to get you through the tough times.

charlie shuck was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. He not only writes and performs in Jacksonville, he has been a staple in the music community for many years. He is building the songwriter community and connecting artists to each other through songwriter spotlights and by coordinating shows all over town. His music is deeply emotional though witty, dry, and humorous. His storytelling and darkly creative lyricism will draw you in with curiosity, while his brutal honesty creeps between nihilism and ironically, hope. While influenced by Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, The Band, Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie, and Daniel Johnston, his music is uniquely his own, and he has surely brought something entirely new and beautifully weird to the table. Tom Gilbert (formerly of Donna the Buffalo) and Sadie Frederick (formerly of This Frontier Needs Heroes) were both eager to start a new musical project when they met in July 2016. Since then, they've been writing and playing for hours on end, preparing to record an album this winter.
