SAF naît de la rencontre entre Darius Keeler (co-écriture, leader du groupe anglais Archive), Marianne Elise (chant, ex Nouvelle Vague et Yuksek)et Eat Gas (guitare, ex Hey Hey My My).
L'album est écrit par eux trois, au croisement de leurs influences (PJ Harvey, Can, Sonic Youth, Björk) et réalisé par Darius lui-même aux mythiques Studios RAK à Londres.
Un buzz commence en Angleterre quand les titres Nailstorm et Fast du 1er EP sont régulièrement joués sur la BBC. Sur scène, le duo (rejoint pas batterie et claviers) assure les premières parties d'Archive : Zénith de Paris, Forest National, le Transbordeur… En France, Nova playliste le titre Nailstorm pendant des mois sans relâche courant 2014, puis FIP début 2015.
Après une avant-première aux Bars en Trans, puis concert de pré-sortie au Silencio en mai 2015, leur premier album sort le 8 juin (Sober & Gentle/Sony Music).

La Flèche d'Or à Paris les accueillera le 29 juin pour leur concert de sortie.
