After a year of captivating singles, a rapidly growing social media following, and electrifying live performances across NYC, Virginia-raised R&B singer/songwriter SAFA is making waves with her debut project, "The Prelude". The 7-song EP is a silky, sultry exploration of love’s journey—from intoxicating beginnings to bittersweet endings.

Featuring breakout singles like “Slide,” “Casual,” and the recently released “Why Did You Hurt Me So Bad?”, the project weaves a compelling narrative that resonates with listeners. Accompanied by three self-directed music videos, including a stunning visual inspired by 1950s cinema for “Why Did You Hurt Me So Bad?”, SAFA showcases her multi-talented artistry, having penned every track and produced two of them.

Listeners can immerse themselves in SAFA's lush, enticing vocal stacks throughout the EP, from the synth-wave intro that captures excitement to the unapologetic and heartfelt exclamations of love in “ILY / Playfight.” Following that is the powerhouse breakup anthem “Casual,” infused with the sass of Destiny’s Child and Brandy. The journey culminates in the heart-wrenching ballad “Why Did You Hurt Me So Bad?”, which artfully transitions into the reflective “Get It Right (Outro).”
