Once upon a time, there was a boy, who wanted to make people happy. He wanted to do it by playing music, but which genre? Where could he make other people happy, at the same time, that he made himself happy?
At last, he found Psytrance. He found out, that people were happy when they attended events with that kind of music.
He started to mix some at home. When he finally figured out, how to do, he had to find a name to play by. What should it be? What name could fit in, and wasn’t already taken? Or didn’t sound like another Dj or artist??
The name PsyFari was born, and had a long road ahead. Gigs started, goals were made, and a journey was made, an adventure to make himself and other happy.

Metasonic is the psychedelic DJ project of Sidney van Dyk. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa now living in Bangkok, Thailand.

Since first being exposed to psychedelic trance music and culture in 2009 he fell head over heals in love with both.

He believes that the psychedelic trance journey at it's roots is one of the most liberating and freeing experiences one can have. Be it progressive day-time to Full-on night time to Darkpsy etc, etc, etc and all the myriad of genres in between. The journey it takes you within your own consciousness and who you are after experiencing this journey of sound and self is what made him fall in love. 

Hence the name, Metasonic(meta - after / sonic - sound) is a tribute to that place in all of us that we reach after being taken on a psychedelic sound journey.

His vision for this project is to bring about journey sets to take the listener to that special place inside themselves.
