Akuntsu is a project that explores the intersection of sound and art, pushing the boundaries between tradition and modern electronic music. Rooted in cultural heritage but evolving organically in the digital world, Akuntsu channels deep, driving techno and house rhythms, blending raw energy with hypnotic grooves.

With If I Could Start Again, Akuntsu crafts an introspective and physical journey through contemporary techno, rooted in ritual and shaped by digital process. The EP weaves together raw percussive energy, atmospheric depth, and a strong sense of narrative, allowing rhythm to become a vehicle for memory, transformation, and expression.

The record opens with “Jungle Bleep,” where syncopated grooves and tribal overtones evoke a tension between the organic and the synthetic. “Kvevri” follows with earthy, hypnotic momentum, drawing inspiration from ancestral rhythms filtered through a modern lens. The title track, “If I Could Start Again,” brings warmth and emotional depth, its rolling cadence offering a moment of reflection within the storm. “Hardline” then tightens the grip with stripped-back intensity and relentless drive—raw, functional, and uncompromising. Closing the release, “Beepboop” injects a dose of playfulness with its modular textures and mechanical swing, rounding out the journey with subtle eccentricity.

Akuntsu invites the listener into a space where sound becomes story—where the past and future converge in a dance of continuity and evolution.
