Jean Caillou first emerged in 2016 from Switzerland's avant-garde electronic scene, quickly making his mark with releases on labels like Magician On Duty, RYNTH, and Underyourskin Records. His initial forays into the deep house genre captured attention for their depth and artistry. Jean's relationship with the Sound Avenue family began in 2019 with a remix of Joe Miller's The Days, winning over DJs and fans alike with its enchanting organic vibe. Since then, he has become one of the label's most prolific contributors, with four artist EPs and three remixes to his name.

Most recently, Jean released the End Of Time EP on Sound Avenue, which garnered widespread support and cemented his reputation as a leading light in the deep/organic house community. With the Agartha EP, Jean Caillou once again demonstrates why he remains such an integral part of the Sound Avenue and 3rd Avenue imprints.

The rāga saga is a series I have started to act as a cultural collectiva of my favourite artists from all over, Each raga is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "color the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience and this journey (raga) comes straight from Spain by the gifted @charlie3m aka Carlos

Born and based in Cádiz, Spain, this electronic music lover started his career as a DJ in 2005. Back then, his influences ranged from House to Tech House and Minimal. With such a long experience as a traveller through electronic music's development, he has acquired a wide outlook on it.

While loving the tribal and primitive sounds, he also has a genuine affection towards latin-american beats which makes his journeys multicultural. Today, his taste in music draws from virtually everywhere, from tribal and primitive sounds, with a soft spot for latin-american beats, across the globe in the search of more East- and ethnic-inspired vibes.

His music aims at both enriching and strengthening the soul, while serving as a means of expression beyond the limitation of words.

heuer präsentieren wir euch mal wieder einen speziellen »freunde für freunde mix« und wie soll es nach 4 jahren und 4 monaten auch anders sein, als dass er vom @seaside trip käpt’n kommt:

.... genau, er hat die zeitreise gewagt, er hat den gezeiten getrotzt, segel in stürmen verschlissen und nerven auf sandbänken gelassen, nur um uns nach all den jahren immer noch mit seiner musik zu erfreuen. sich noch immer selbst bezeichnend als »kind der ostsee«, unterwegs in vieler städte häfen, ein musikalischer wegbegleiter, schippert er die wellen quer und kreuzt ab und an die heimathä….äh mixserien-gefilde. so macht er am rostocker hafen längsseits fest und hängt seine wimpel und flagge in den heimatlichen ost-west wind. so sitzt er da, der alte bärtige mann, pafft sein pfeifchen und klönt mit jeder und jedem über die zeiten von … und … und weiß sein seemannsgarn zu spinnen. das webt er immer noch wunderbar in klangteppiche, mit welchen wir mal dahin treiben oder abtauchen, ohne je zu versinken. mit seinem mix für uns knüpft er an den ersten teil (the language of the depth bei akasha mexico erschienen) seiner neuen serie »the sunken sea« an und lässt uns 2 stunden an seinen geborgenen geheimnissen der tiefe teilhaben. »the sunken sea pt.2 -  the depth holds the secrets« ist ein weiterer konzept-mix, bei welchem mal wieder auf überraschende wie wundervolle art & weise klar wird: rolandson war, ist und bleibt einer der geschichtenerzähler, welcher keine angst hat unsere wahrnehmungen immer wieder auf’s neue in frage zu stellen und selbige zu erweitern. mit einer ultraleicht anmutenden feinfühligkeit fädeln sich trippige tracks und verborgene klang-juwelen hintereinander auf und verweben sich letztendlich mit ungehörten geräuschen, melodien und liedern zu einem klangteppich, der geheimnisse birgt aber auch frei gibt.
