Description: Another in the 'commercial' theme of music, well sort of. I've always wanted to compose an elevator music piece, Bossa Nova style. I'm too fond of the DX7 to not use it for 'catchy' pieces, the horn is so charming.

A compilation of 1980's & 1990's styled compositions meant to emulate the feel of retro library music that would be used for commercial usage.

Tyme Machine

Ok, the title. I now, it's not really a proper title is it? But this was just a random  idea thrown out by Jessie and to be honest, I think it's perfect. This track is just so *throw any adventure based saturday morning cartoon here* and there you have it. All jokes aside, this is perhaps one of the most fun tracks I've ever had to make. Commissioned by Gguru1, who's imagination oozes with ideas of potential shows that could've happened in the late 80s/ early 90s. You know the kind, DiC Shows. It's fun to write music for an era that kind of never happened, that's the goal with the original stuff.

I wanna say a big thanks to Kristian also for the awesome guitar and saxophone VST's which really brought out that classic vibe to the track. Honestly, it changed so much and the guitar adds such a nice funky rhythm that this track really needed!

The Adventures Of...

Just a small 'logo' type theme, reminiscent of those old VHS startups from back in the day.

Intro

The main melody of this had been going round in my head and I knew exactly what sound I wanted for this so on a wing and a prayer, this was made. I wanted that kind of '70s'  vibe with having more 'acoustic' instrumentation but have a few Moog synths thrown in too, to kind of pay homage to those obscure electronic albums of the 60s-80s. 

Jean-Jacques Perrey was probably my main inspiration for this as well as a few things I've done in the past. Definetly want to try more jazzy pieces though, this was fun.

The Bargain Bounce

A track that has been in the vault for a good while, composed this probably 3-4 years ago and only now it's actually got finished lol. I've been tinkering around with the arrangement for a while and changing bits here and there. 

A massive thanks to Carson who recorded the electrifying guitar lead for this track, which really brings out the vibe we was looking for. Also thanks to Leo for writing some additional parts to this, this was one big collab really.

This has a nod to 'Tears For Fears' in the sound but I wanted this to have that 'Lone guy driving on Route 66 with wide panning shots, in his no roof low rider as he drives to the city to do whatever 80's protagonists do' kind of vibe too. Like action movie but it's the montage part or something. Or even a chase sequence in an old anime, who knows.

Nite Rider ft. Carson

So the story behind this one is that I wanted to create an upbeat 80's sitcom theme that gave the impression it was show centered around a family or maybe in a middle school. 
All those recent 80s AI pictures really gave the inspiration to do something like that.

80's Daytime TV

A short jolly sounding 80s cartoon piece. Based a little on my own 'Shopping Trip' with also some influences from the old Mr Men show. I love writing 'theme song' type jingles the most I think, nothing better than writing a good hook.

This is pretty true to the original arrangement til about 45 seconds in where it just transforms into a late 1980's funk parade, with a lot of Michael Jackson inspiration for that section I will admit.

The Adventure Begins - Opening Theme (80s Remix)

Originally a track commissioned by Iron Crewe, I kinda re-wrote it to be something else but not to far from the original which is a private piece.

This was inspired by a Japanese Terrahawks track that I was sent but I went a more video game-ish route with the sound, kinda like my other track 'Final Circuit'.

Hello there! A small original piece to start off the year. To aid my addiction to nostalgic cartoony shopping music, here is this one. Once again I use the DX7 for the lead horn as I have yet to purchase a convincing brass pack that will give me that classic horn sound. But I wanted a tune that said 'let's skip merrily to the store to buy cookies' kind of thing. 

The melody was partially composed by Gguru and I expanded on it, it belonged to a 'national anthem' styled piece we worked on not long ago.

The Shopping Skip

Ahh, I've always wanted to do this one. One of my favorite pieces from the series, it's like the sister theme to the main one but with more of a jazzy twist in some parts.

The Techno Trousers Theme (Synthesized)

Back again with another Wommit track, here is the iconic Train Chase Theme in true synth fashion. Using the DX7 and EMU Emulator II a lot here for that 'cheaper' sound while trying to fit in all the bits the original had.

Blue Velvet

A nostalgic type of piece that was somewhat inspired by Simple Minds, I wanted to create a track that sounded very 'video gamey' but also could be used for an advert if that makes sense, I guess that's just my go to intention with a lot of my creations lol.

Taking Flight

A young aspiring composer from the UK. I specialise mainly in creating music that would fit in the period of late 20th century television. I spent many years recreating the 'Thomas' soundtrack and gradually went on into my own works, creating music of many different genres.
