No one can deny that @conducta is surfing on the crest of garage's new wave. The Bristol-born artist is a dexterous DJ who jumps from style to style, leaving uplifting grooves in his wake. As a producer, he is just as nimble, and his Kiwi Records label and regular mixes have also helped to define a fresh new take on the classic sound. Always bright, sun kissed and never afraid to take on a big tune or recognisable sample, nothing is off-limits for this classy, party-starting DJ.

Part of the reason Conducta is so effective is the quickness and precision of his mixes - there is no time to linger when he is in the booth. Instead, you're hurried along from one bumping groove or darkened bassline to the next, and of course, that is the case in this week's mix. Elements of grime, dubstep, 2-step and the odd cheeky bootleg all colour his tightly woven and sun-baked grooves. The result is a mix as fun as it is fresh, and one that effortlessly highlights the fantastic breadth and depth of the current scene.

Una tormenta controlada de breaks, UK garage, con brechas melódicas y ritmos rotos. Así podría visualizarse el efecto que Alvva transmite en la pista y con su música.

Se trata de un enfoque personal de la música de club influenciado por la nueva electrónica made in UK que Alvva ha plasmado tanto en sus DJ sets —ya sea en el club más underground o en una big room concurrida— como en sus propias producciones. La filosofía es la misma.

Criada en San Sebastián y afincada en Barcelona, @itsalvva encuentra un punto de inflexión después de la pandemia, cuando empieza a dar sus primeros pasos por clubes europeos tocando en clubs como EartH London (invitada por @jyotysingh a Homegrown London), en Music Box Lisboa o el Hacienda de Roma. Lo mismo con festivales (el último fue Brunch-In Barcelona, compartiendo lineup con @overmono, @theblessedmadonna y @disclosuremusic, además de festivales como @sonarfestival o BBK Live) y sonando en radios (BBC, NTS Radio, @rinsefm, @reprezentradio), poniendo en valor esto último: la importancia de la cultura radiofónica en nuestros días. A finales de 2022 el colectivo @keep-hush (UK) contó con ella como curator y host de la primera noche y del primer stream del colectivo en España.

Como productora, Alvva debutó en 2021 con “Ethereal Feelings” teniendo una gran acogida, incluido en playlists oficiales de sellos como @xl-recordings o @dkmntl y pinchado en las radios europeas más destacadas. Posteriormente participó en los recopilatorios “Puro @mareomareo vol. 2”, “Promesses Vol. 2” y “Merca Zip 2021” de @merca-bae.
