This is a very special track that I recorded back in 2006 when I lived in Topanga, CA with my partner at the time, Bibi.

Bibi is singing a beautiful old Sikh chant over top of some synth pads and live recordings that I captured of the Maldive Ocean, Topanga crickets and owls.

This is a short sample. The full track is 40 mins long. 

It's intention and design is to support a deep state of relaxation and peace. Perfect for meditation, yoga and massage.

Venus Meditation (SuKhush Remix) - B. Ashra

The vision driving SuKhush has always been the integration of pure organic sound with electronics :: retaining and respecting ancient sound, but amplifying and enhancing it with what is now possible through technology. This Venus Meditation remix represents a huge step forward for us along this journey!
 
During summer 2018, we collaborated with B. Ashra (Bert Olke - Klangswirkstoff Records/GL Audio and Mastering) to produce a deeply considered remix of his original 62-minute Venus Meditation, released in 2016. The original soundscape is tuned to the cosmic octave, specifically to the planetary frequencies of Venus ( A | + 9,64 Cent | 221,23 Hz (110,61 Hz)| 103,7 bpm | colour: yellow-orange ). Further, with a nod to the dolphin imagery often used to depict Venus as the Roman goddess of love, the original composition also includes dolphin songs, recorded in the Atlantic Ocean near La Gomera (Canary Islands). We recorded the flute in one continuous session, in its pure organic form, adding only selected effects to facilitate the integration into the track. The Western concert flute remains on its original tuning. 
 
2018 is the year of Venus – a broad canvas for forgiveness, love, and completion. What more perfect moment could there be to add our voice to this already beautiful composition? We seized the opportunity over the course of these summer months, spending a series of utterly unforgettable summer days and nights with B. Ashra in the GL studio, located on the fairytale campus of BLO-Ateliers in Berlin.

MAGIC CARPET is based around Raga Bhairagi, a melodic scale containing the notes used in the traditional chanting of Sanskrit mantras such as the Purusha Shukta, Vishnu Sahasra Nama and other sacred texts.

The luxurious pulsating groove along with the seductive Bansuri bamboo flute playing of Shyan Kishori, entices us to an encounter with the primordial mystery of an ancient time, as the haunting vocals of Shirin Sengupta guide us on a sacred vision quest to the core of our being.

Sahara Dawn is a multidisciplinary mystic visionary, boundary-breaking music and event producer, multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter, and bass player. 
Sahara transformative art fuses ancient Persian roots with futuristic soundscapes, embodying a blend of world fusion beats, trip-hop, psybass, and ethereal live vocals. A fearless advocate for women's rights, she uses her music as a vehicle for justice, freedom, and the elevation of voices silenced by oppression.

Born in Tehran, Sahara defied a regime that silenced artistic expression, becoming one of the city’s first female bass players in a psychedelic prog rock band. Risking her life to organize underground events, she carved a path of rebellion and hope, ultimately leading her to London’s Access to Music School, aided by a life-saving intervention from the British ambassador.
