Like a calm breeze on a summer night, preferably near the Equator. Starting from calm waters to the most turbulent parts, Megan teaches us a wonderful story of compromise, and imbalance.

We have known her for a long time; coming a long way from South Africa, characterizing herself from her not so hidden poetic side, to her wonderful sets and musical productions, she has earned a well deserved and established reputation of truly playing amazing sets. We are truly pleased to welcome her to our podcast series.

Our small collective can simply be delighted, and without more to say but thanks to Megan for this incredible story, and welcome to the LOKD family.

What better way than to have the wonderful @justemmaoffical put together this special milestone podcast. Number 200! They are definitely an inspirational duo and so to have them put together this exclusive set just for us summarizes the love of music we all have :) They are fabulous as humans and it transmits through their music, which is something we have always valued through sunset grooves. Please listen to this mix as if you're at Katerblau on a Monday Morning. You will see why they had so much fun doing it. 

We started back in early 2013 and since have had over 190 different artists from over 45 different countries providing us music from deep house, hip hop, disco, funk, downtempo, electronica, deep tech, afro house, house and all with an absolute wonderful unique touch of individual groove.

Wir sind zurück von unserem ersten Festival-Gig und trocknen nach einer dunstigen Nacht im magischen Möhrenwald noch gemütlich auf der Wäscheleine. 
Tiefsee-Tanz, Armdrücken mit einem Oktopus oder Sekt trinken mit Seepferdchen, es waren zwei Stunden purer Tiefenrausch mit euch. Viel Spaß mit unserem Set von der Wilden Möhre und danke an alle, die mit uns auf Tauchgang gegangen sind!

WOW !!! 😮   
I still find it hard to realize what happened that night. It was to be my first gig in quite a long time and my first big festival gig. Thankfully, I was given the honor to play at Wildschreck during sunset. I was nervous beyond measure the days before, but when I entered the DJ booth, it was to be the beginning of a magical journey and I felt like being one with the music and all the people surrounding me. ✨ 

Thank you all so much for all the immense love and energy you gave me that night - I was extremely overwhelmed. All of your smiling faces, raised hands, whistles, dancing bodies and kind words afterwards leave me with pure joy in my heart. This unimaginable experience will forever stay in my memories, for sure. ❤️

Not least, sharing this set is particularly special to me because it finally exposes my slightly faster and wilder alter ego to all of my listeners.

Now, let the bass carry you back to the dancefloor! 🔥

As the final piece of her 25th anniversary, DJ Isis is now presenting her new project ‘Isis & Mozes’ to the world. Their debut EP 'OSTARA' is released April 12th, 2018 at KROOKS Records. OSTARA is the outcome of an intensive collaboration with her new studio partner Mozes.

On OSTARA, Isis & Mozes worked with different musicians, instrumentalists, and vocalists. These are the key ingredients that formed the basis for the compositions made by @isismozes. In addition to the electronic parts of the compositions, Isis & Mozes used different types of instruments featuring Mozes on guitar and Isis on vocals.

Besides their own compositions, one of the tracks on OSTARA is produced in collaboration with colleague-producer and dj: @tripjag. In addition, the producers-trio @yorkultura made a hefty remix of their track Aerial for the EP. More info on the EP: www.krooks-records.com/album/isismozes-ostara

Isis & Mozes feat. Trippin Jaguar - Lilith's revenge

After contributing a remix to the first EP of his buddy AVEM on Heimlich Musik, Basel based wunderkind Arutani releases three original Tracks with remixes by GYRL and Dolph as the third EP on the Viennese imprint. The melody of the title track “Pendulum“ rises as a climax from playful percussions wandering around the beat construct. By adopting the main theme and adding energetic drums, Dolph transforms the dreamy original mix into a club tool for later (or early morning) hours. „Dorian“ comes along with an acid-line as a driving element carrying away trippy vocals and breaky beats resulting in melancholic synth pads. Slowmotion-heroes GYRL from Leipzig used their unique mighty drumming to make it clear from the first moment on that you are listening to one of their remixes. Combined with selected elements from the original the result is an absolute banger that makes every sound system happy. „Kids from the past“ appears as an homage to earlier days using disco-influenced pads as a reference to the 80s. Although one has not heard Arutani giving his track a disco-touch very often, the unique sound-design reflects Arutani’s current work and provides this track with a modern touch to serve as the grand final of the EP.
