Haider’s journey as a dedicated artist, producer, DJ, composer and remixer over the past decade has led him to bridge the gap between his native music scene in Pakistan and the broader Western landscape, undeterred by the geographic and cultural distances from techno hubs of the West. 

His exceptional skills have not gone unnoticed, with notable achievements including a remix release of Nabihah Iqbal on Ninja Tune. 

"Drifting, emotive and more than a little dreamy — that’s the kind of house music you’ll find on ‘Graduated,’ the debut full-length from the Lahore, Pakistan–based producer Haider Uppal. It’s a beautiful and assured collection of tunes, the culmination of several years of original productions, collaborations, and remixes/edits for the likes of Nightmares On Wax, Powel and BLOND:ISH. Uppal’s musical career started as a teenager back home in Lahore, but ‘Graduated’ began to take shape while attending school in Michigan, where he soaked up the sounds of house and techno emanating from nearby Detroit.

You can hear faint echoes of the kind of music that Motor City artists like the late Mike Huckaby would make while in house mode — but Uppal’s music shares even more in common with the vaguely hallucinatory sound of artists like YokoO. The Label.
"La dame Noir Rds" is mainly about the sunset vibe to the darkest side of Disco. Slow Mo, Nu Disco, Moody Music, Haunted House, Voodoo Shit or whatever you might call it is our concern.
So far we've been releasing artists like Copyshop AKA Dj Steef, Date With Elvis, Pete Hebert & Danton Eeprom and some more are coming (Zombies In Miami, Forty Fings Dynamo, Did & Amevicious..).

La dame Noir is a small tiny bar located in Marseille, we had guest such as Pachanga Boys, The Revenge, Breakbot, Dantonn Eeprom, Michael Mayer and so many other top djs...
LdN [dancing] is a 250p cap club based on Marseille Port,
djs like Ivan Smagghe, Simian Mobile Disco, Andrew Weatherall and many more all came over.

A jack of all trades and a master of fun - Faffa's love for music was sparked at the age of 12 while learning to play the guitar and drums in his mother's studio. 

An Engineer by day and a DJ/Producer, often also by day, his journey into the world of electronic music began alongside his best friend as they formed the collaborative project called "Father." From their base in Stellenbosch, the duo rapidly made its way into all the nooks and crannies of the South African electronic music scene, where he has performed at multiple festivals, clubs, and bars.

He believes the beauty of electronic music lies in the vast diversity and endless possibilities, allowing artists to ignore conventional beliefs that conform them to becoming monotonous. Despite loving "nearly" all forms of electronic music, he has developed a signature Disco Tech, Indie Dance sound that draws inspiration from early disco records retrofitted with dreamy synth stabs and rolling basslines.

"Joy shared is multiplied" - R.A Salvatore. When you spot Faffa's name on a lineup, you can expect an emphasis on connectedness and intimacy with the crowd. Legend has it; he's even been found on the wrong side of the stage during his own set, don't tell the promoter.
