While the esteemed Berlin-based artist, DJ and Stil vor Talent label-owner Oliver Koletzki can look back onto an impressive career since his 2005 debut release ‘Der Mückenschwarm’ on Sven Väth’s Cocoon, he challenges the status quo with every single new production and set, drawing from an ever-evolving plethora of styles and moods. Inspired by his extensive travels around the globe, which have taken him from the deserts of Burning Man, Rainbow Serpent and Coachella to the beaches of Tulum, Tel Aviv, Ibiza and beyond, Oliver’s output shines with the maturity of an artist at the top of his game and the playfulness of a youthfully curious mind. Testament to the fact were his last albums ‘The Arc of Tension’ (2017), ‘Fire in the Jungle’ (2019) and ‘Made of Wood’ (2021) – a trilogy exploring the musical space between organic psychedelia and synthetic floor-focus. Meanwhile, Oliver has continuously enabled, fostered and furthered the artistic paths of countless musicians. Looking back over the past 18 years, Township Rebellion, Reinier Zonneveld, KlangKuenstler or HVOB are just a few of many names that link to his label Stil vor Talent. In 2023, he released his 10th longplayer “Trip to Sanity” and embarked on a live concert tour, marking yet another milestone of his tenure at the forefront of contemporary electronic music.

My DJ set - live recorded in Toulouse, 20 July 2019

I was asked recently if I'm always playing the same tracks during weeks and I was thinking about this question. Well, of course not. But it depends! As a DJ you are flexible and can play whatever you want, however your mood is. But I'm not changing my playlist 100% every weekend. So it's always like this: few new tracks were added to my playlist, few tracks went out. For this gig in Toulouse I had the pleasure to play the sunset. So I started with melodic and deep tracks, ending with more progressive and dark stuff. Finally it's all about how I feel it. 

Just a little insight. :-)

Yeesss.. took a while but I finally got the recording from Bucht der Träumer. I'm still overwhelmed from this beautiful festival 😍 It will be hard to capture the magic and beauty of the moment but playing from 4.30am to 6.30am, from complete darkness until an indescribable sunset and wonderful morning, has been an unbelievable! Thanks everyone, who danced with me into the sunset :) Seeing such joy and smiling faces as bright as the sun in that moment... an unforgettable experience and highlight, even after quite a few festivals this year!
Sorry for the bad quality of the recording. Likewise I was quite struggling with my ears after playing a lot this weekend.. anyways this was pure magic! Thanks <3

Berlin Club Culture is facing the biggest challenge in its history. On Friday, the 13th of March, all of Berlin´s nightlife was officially shut down to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Since then, about 9000 employees, as well as tens of thousands of artists have been without work and wages, and the existence of many of the places that give Berlin its identity is threatened.

As a reaction to the closing of all Berlin clubs and to the rest of the world being in quarantine, Berlin is showing its support and solidarity by bringing the biggest possible digital club to your home.
