Plastic Tree (Purastikku Turi / Pura Turi) is a japanese j-rock post-punk band, also considered visual-kei; a movement among (originally japanese) musicians focused on visual shock. They began Their activity in 1993-1994 and so we celebrate Their 30th anniversary, as They are still active and have just released new album on this occasion. Since that time the band's set-up has changed few times in the past due to previous drummers leaving. It's been settled on as following: Ryutaro Arimura (vocal, sub guitar), Tadashi Hasegawa (bass, who's also band's leader), Akira Nakayama (guitar) and Kenken Sato (drums). All members are responsible for band's sounds and lyrics, where the most of it has a rather dark meaning behind it; such as death, mental health problems, self-harm or even, drugs. All accompanied by usually melancholic melodies and Ryutaro's specific vocal. Since Plastic Tree gains some more recognition, it's best to know at least few basic informations about Them, just in case if You find Yourself enjoying more of Their work, which i truly hope for.
