Since the release of their debut album "I AM BECOME" Among Authors has received critical acclaim for both their recordings and poignant live performances. Bob Boilen of NPR Music (Founder of NPR Tiny Desk) recently said: “…a stunning set of songs lead by singer Ian Ketterer filled with heart, fury and some of the best rock-based music we’ve seen on this tour.” While listing “I AM BECOME’ as one of the best albums of 2017, Steven Graham from 107.7 wrote: ”From my first listen to their single ‘Imitation House’ I fell in love with these dudes and their Explosions In The Sky vibes. This album from Among Authors really doesn’t sound like anything else happening in Seattle right now.”

A lyrically intriguing and musically emotional indie alt-rock band from Seattle Washington, Among Authors is fronted by singer and keyboardist Ian Ketterer. After undergoing open-heart surgery at the age of 23, Ian, with a new lease on life, relocated the band from Wisconsin to Seattle, WA to greater push their music career.

Among Authors has always been completely independent in all forms of the word. Their debut full-length album “I AM BECOME” was recorded over a 4-year span in the band’s basement. All songs were self-written, produced, engineered, mixed and mastered. The album originally released on April 6th, 2017, and received a limited edition 180-gram Vinyl release in December later that same year. The debut album features the single “Imitation House” and great artists like Andrew Joslyn (Tom Chaplin, Macklemore, Ayron Jones) along with many friends and family lending their talents.

After their first West Coast tour in February and March of 2018, Among Authors is wasting no time, back in the studio working on their eagerly awaited sophomore album.

Dead Nudes is an alternative folk rock Band from Seattle, WA blending influences like Modest Mouse, Sparkle Horse, Strokes and White Stripes into an indie-rock symphony of guitars, violins, mandolins, drums, bass and human voices.

I partly make the music I do because I was about to get stuck in the system. The rest of it is about me getting my life together.... 

What about the part about me being a diplomatic person?  MaybeX that is another side of my personality, which I only show when involved in politics?

I want to be a research analyst, a policy-maker, a diplomatic person, and a vocalist on the side?

Background:

He's been heteroflexiblem demisexual, and/or is fluctuating and evolving and is mostly cis-gendered. He's a switch (D&S not S&M and/or discipline). He's Schizophrenic, was a white kid that got bullied, was a trouble-maker as a child, was misdiagnosed, and was put on the wrong medications. He's Buddhist leaning, but accepting of all religions, He's graduated from college, he wants to work on a Master's in Quantitative Psychology! He's into independent politics, grew up mostly average, and has made music since middle school. He's from one of the most average cities in the country(It's referred to as being Middletown, USA)!

I originally made music for therapy. Then I eventually made music for politics and my personal story. It's still like therapy! :) And, I don't want to be preachy, but politics is still involved in what I do. However, I am making music to be a diplomat/mediator!

Types of Music He Makes: 

Rap/hip hop, r&b and rock, and grime and country…

It wasn't until college (I graduated from undergraduate studies, with a marketing major and an economics and political science minor at Ball State University), especially 2015, that he became serious about putting together a wide variety of genres of music. He began to make a name for himself then, as an artist who began developing an image as an artist who makes music with different topics, such as: 
1) He makes party music (including party music that has political undertones); 
2) He makes music about experiences with my own use, and my friends use, of drugs and alcohol, my own experiences with pimping, and my friends gambling habits, and how some of his friends use drugs and do other things in a way that are regulated well 
3) Makes music about his situation as a Schizophrenic person; 
4) Makes music about what'd happen if he'd act on evil temptations
5) plans on coming out with more music about relationships and alternative lifestyle (especially while testing the waters of relationships); 
6) Makes music about doing well in school; 
7) Makes music that is geared toward working on developing the local scene in Muncie, IN and other cities like it; 
8) Makes lifestyle music that is related to his diverse lifestyle that is becoming even more diverse 
9) Makes music about being fake at first to growing up and learning how to be real 
10) Might want to eventually make music about making through the flight school of music, and any other career path; especially in entertainment, though! There are reasons I’m in marketing and sociology!)? 
11) I could make music about how I'm mostly a spectator and a fan when it comes to most sports (don’t want to hurt ne1 by doing something like pigeon-holing people! In marketing and sociology for many reasons?)
