Hailing from the Bronx, NY, and honing his craft in Atlanta, GA, Lefty Van Lowe is a multifaceted artist whose music embodies a unique blend of soulful grooves, silky-smooth delivery, and razor-sharp lyricism. His self-described style, “Black Buttah”, is a testament to his ability to fuse clever wordplay with infectious vibes, creating an effortlessly enjoyable listening experience.  

Lefty’s musical journey began in high school, where he collaborated with artists Taztic, MWil, and AG to form the rap group Rebel Nation. His passion for music led him to the legendary Stankonia Studios, the creative home of OutKast and the Dungeon Family. There, he worked alongside talented artists such as Dijon Stylez, Levi Watson, Rizz Capolatti, Godbody Science, and Courtesy of the Goodfellas, further refining his artistry.  

Influenced by a diverse range of icons from Nas, Jay-Z, and Missy Elliott to Curren$y, Kendrick Lamar, and Tyler, the Creator. Lefty Van Lowe has carved out a distinct sound that resonates with authenticity and creativity. Since releasing his debut album, “Just Curious”, in 2010, he has built an impressive catalog of 5 albums and 2 EPs. His latest project, “Rare Form”, is a masterful 7-track exploration of self-reflection, love, aspirations, and personal growth. Featuring collaborations with Dirty Ike, TiAna, Levi Watson, and Dijon Stylez, and production by Mac Velor, Ammar Junedi, Godbody Science, and Brendan, the album is a soulful journey that defies the fast-food nature of modern music consumption.  

As an independent artist, Lefty Van Lowe continues to push boundaries and expand his brand. With new music slated for release in 2025, he remains dedicated to crafting timeless art that connects with listeners on a deeper level. Stay tuned for what’s next from this rising star.
