The seven notes of the musical scale in Indian classical music are shadja , rishabha , gandhara , madhyama, panchama, dhaivata and nishada. These seven svara are shortened to Sa, Ri, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, and Ni. Collectively these notes are known as the sargam. Sargam is the Indian equivalent to solfege, a technique for the teaching of sight-singing. The tone Sa is, as in Western moveable-Do solfège, the tonic of a piece or scale.

This is an attempt to make a psytrance song in the svara "Panchama" (Pa) which is "G" in western notes. Hope you like it :)

Panchama [Free Download]

Shanmata meaning "Six Religions" in Sanskrit, has its origins in the hoary past. While these Six Religions of Vedic Culture initially had separate followers, theologian Adi Shankara, the 8th century CE Hindu philosopher, worked to join the adherents of the Six Religions into one through spreading his Advaita Vedanta philosophy. Adi Sankara's followers worship one divine power, Brahman in all its six manifestations. It centers around the worship of the Six of the supreme Deities of the Vedic Religion, Shiva, Vishnu, Shakti, Ganesha, Surya and Skanda as One. This is based on the belief in the essential oneness of all deities, the unity of Godhead, the one divine power, Brahman.

Philosophically, all are seen by Advaitins as equal reflections of the one Saguna Brahman, i.e., a personal God with form, rather than as distinct beings Smartism, a relatively modern Hindu tradition (compared to the three older traditions ), invites the worship of more than one god including Shiva, Vishnu, Shakti, Ganesha (the elephant god) and Surya (the sun god) among other gods and goddesses. It is not as overtly sectarian as either Vashnavism or Shaivism and is based on the recognition that Brahman (God) is the highest principle in the universe and pervades all of existence. Generally Smartas worship the Supreme in one of six forms: Ganesha, Shiva, Sakti, Vishnu, Surya and Skanda. Because they accept all the major Hindu Gods, they are known as liberal or nonsectarian. They follow a philosophical, meditative path, emphasizing man's oneness with God through understanding.

Smartas accept and worship the six manifestations of God, (Ganesha, Shiva, Shakti, Vishnu, Surya and Skanda) and the choice of the nature of God is up to the individual worshipper since different manifestations of God are held to be equivalent. It is believed that in Adi Shankara's time these deities had their own Hindu followers who quarrelled with each other claiming the superiority of their chosen deity. Adi Shankara is said to have synthesised these quarrelling sects by integrating the worship of all these deities in the Shanmata system.

Skanda Sashti Kavacham or Kanda Sashti Kavasam (Tamil: கந்த சஷ்டி கவசம்) is a Hindu devotional song composed in Tamil by Bala Devaraya Swamigal (a student of Meenakshi Sundaram Pillai) on Lord Muruga, the son of Lord Shiva, in Chennimalai near Erode. Tamil contains many ancient hymns in praise of deities. Skanda Sashti Kavasam was composed in the 16th century. In the song has been composed in praise of the Lord, seeking to shower His grace.

Mahaux - Banshi

Saivite is Sankar Narayanan, a psytrance music producer and DJ from South India. He is known for his unique genre of “Mantric Psytrance” – a combination of psytrance elements with spiritual mantras which traditionally help listeners and chanters reach a meditative state. His most popular track, “Kandha Sashti Kavasham” has garnered more than a million views on Youtube and about half that amount of plays on Soundcloud.

Sankar Narayanan was born in the city of Chennai, India. He started learning drums at the age of 4, and began his musical journey while playing for a progressive rock band. During his years in the band, he was endorsed by Turkey based cymbal company, "Soultone Cymbals". While exploring the depths of progressive rock, his interest towards electronic music grew and he found the mind-bending genre of psytrance. After spending considerable time honing his skills as a DJ and electronic music producer, he began his project "Psyvite" in 2014. What followed was an amazing reception from audiences for his first few tracks and he began playing gigs in and around Chennai. Since then, he has played at massive psytrance fests like the Spirit Gust Festival, Goa in December 2015 And Kundalini Shakti Festival, Kasol 2016, connecting to listeners on a deeply spiritual and emotional level with his unique brand of Mantric psytrance.

Saivite has opened for major Psytrance artists like Upgrade, Bliss, Pixel, Suntribe, Mimic Vat, Gotalien, Psykovsky, Imaginarium, Tone Benders, Liquedator, Shivatree, Girisha, Madlyte,Ritual etc. And now he has been signed to BEAT ON RECORDS from Mexico, ELEMENTAL MOV from Mexico, PSYTRAX RECORDS from Amsterdam and YUN RECORDZ from Portugal. His debut album "Solipsism" released on February 2016 on all digital stores by YUN RECORDZ. His second album "Shanmata" was released on May 2017 on all digital stores by BEAT ON RECORDS.
