"Talk like a Pirate Day"?  I think it caught on because of Krispy Kreme DONUTS and their free donut offer on Sept 19th.  Back when the offer was good, they gave away donuts to anyone  dressing or talking like a pirate (something like that.)  Anyway, Krispy K took the rope and put it around their necks  because they aren't giving away donuts anymore in honor of this silly Day.   It's still a silly 'holiday' and in honor of my long ongoing battle with Scurvy I ask for prayers and pray for everyone.  
      ECU is Eastern Carolina University.   They got it off by "a" letter when they replaced the E with an 'a'.   And then prominently put it up on their name.  Is there a Western Carolina University? Or Northern? Or oar oar?   Row your boat gently down the stream merrily merrily merrily; life is but a _dream_.
