Black Lantern hails from a musical family in Jamaica where he grew up surrounded by music and dance. As a singer, dancer, choreographer, videographer, he moved from Westmoreland Jamaica to Winnipeg in summer of 2021. As a Reggae, Dancehall and R&B artist, Black Lantern has released originals such as “Mystic Breeze”, "Be Careful" and "True Love", and collaborations “Upside Down”, ‘In Times Like These” and a feature artist in “Motherland”. Black Lantern represents more than just light in the dark, also a symbol of hope and safety for those seeking freedom. As T-West Dance, he specializes in the styles of Afro-Caribbean, Jamaica Folk, Dancehall, Reggae, Hip-hop, Krump, and Contemporary. Black Lantern of T-west is passionate about sharing his talent and love for music and dance with others and believes music and dance can change the hearts and minds of youth today.
