These lessons were digitalised and uploaded from the original cassette recordings around 10 years ago, however, the sound quality was very poor. Also, those original uploads contained duplicate files etc.. 

We have worked upon each track individually and made them more pleasing sonically.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

– “…It is not poverty that I fear for you, but that Allah will open up the riches of this world for you, and that will cause you to compete with one another… It will take you away from your religion or destroy you, just as it destroyed those before you.” (Ḥadīth)

– Clarification of the type of competing mentioned in the Ḥadīth.

– A further narration: “That which I fear after me is that Allāh will open up the riches of this world for you.”

– Most of the problems that arose after the Messenger ‎ﷺ were related to power, leadership, wealth, and greed.

The Conditions, Pillars & Requirements of the Prayer

The Pillars of the Prayer are Fourteen.

The main points covered in this lesson:

The Fourth Pillar: The Bowing - Ar- Ruku’u
The Fifth Pillar: Rising from the bowing position.
The Sixth Pillar: Prostrating upon the seven limbs.
The Seventh Pillar: Sitting back up from prostration.
The Eighth Pillar: Sitting between the two prostrations.

– The proof for these five pillars mentioned above is the statement of Allāh: ‘O you who believe, bow and prostrate (in prayer).” Surah Al-Hajj 77.
– The hadīth of the Prophet ﷺ ‘I was ordered to prostrate in the seven limbs’.
‎– الاعتدال - There are two risings, one is from the bowing position where one stands after bowing and the other is the  rising from prostration where one remains sitting.
– The Prophet ﷺ would teach and show the companions how to pray, he ﷺ said: ‘Pray as you have seen me praying.’
– The way Ar- Ruku’u is to be carried out correctly.
