Some points discussed during this Khutbah:

⁃ The three that follow the deceased to the grave.
⁃ The happy one and the loser as it relates to their wealth and family.
⁃ A reminder from Jibrīl (عليه السلام) to the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ and his ummah.
⁃ The three deeds that remain for a person after their death.
⁃ The harsh reality that there are from our family those who are enemies to us and will not benefit us after our death.
⁃ The wealth that one truly benefits from.
⁃ The yearning of the true believer and affairs that require our attention.
⁃ An example from ‘Abdullāh b. ‘Umar (رضى الله عنهما) in giving from that which we love.
⁃ The most wicked of cultivators of their children.
⁃ The only companion that will remain with you after you die up until you enter Jannah or Jahannam.
⁃ Preparing a good resting place for ourselves in the grave.

3 Ramadan 1443 Reflections Upon The Quran By Abu Idrees 04042022

Night 6: Ramaḍān 1443/2022 Reflections — By Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān (حفظه الله). 

- Pondering upon the four gifts present in the tremendous hadīth, "On the first night of the month of Ramaḍān, the shayāṭīn and the marad of the jinn are shackled, the doors of the Hellfire are closed and no door from it is open. The doors of Paradise are opened and none of its doors are closed, and a caller calls, 'O seeker of good, go forth! And O seeker of evil, stop!’ And Allāh has those He frees from the Hellfire every night." 
1. The restriction/chaining of the shayāṭīn.
- The difference between the shayāṭīn and the marad from the jinn. 
- The role of the shayātīn.
2. The doors of Paradise are open and the doors of the Hellfire are closed.
- The two meanings Ahlul-‘Ilm mention for this. 
3. A caller calls out, “O seeker of good, go forth! And O seeker of evil, stop!”
- Another ḥadīth that clarifies who the caller is. 
- The benefit of mentioning this call and the mindset we should have.
- The two types of hearts. 
4. Allāh frees slaves from the Hellfire.
- The meaning of this.
- A reflection upon the punishment of the people of the Hellfire so we can appreciate being freed from it.
- An encouragement to capitalise upon every moment of Ramaḍān.

5 Ramadan 1443 Reflections Upon 4 Gifts Present In A Tremendous Hadith By Abu Idrees 06042022

[15/04//2022] Piety Is About The Quality Of The Worship Not The Quantity - By Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul Wahid حفظه الله. Khutbah at Masjid As-Salafi, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khutbah:

- The meaning of the statement of Allāh, “Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed.” [Sūrah al-Mulk 67:2]
- Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) on the four types of people as it relates to performing actions with sincerity and in accordance to the Sunnah.
- A statement from ‘Ubayy b. Ka’b (رضى الله عنه) regarding the characteristics of a person who will not be touched by the Fire.
- The reason Abū Bakr (رضى الله عنه) excelled over the people.
- The severe loss of the one who passes through Ramaḍān and is not forgiven.
- Ḥasan al-Basrī (رحمه الله) on why the Ṣaḥābah were the best of people even though some of the Tābi’īn had more acts of worship than them.
- Making preparations for the reckoning with Allāh.
- The need to regularly take account of ourselves and seek the forgiveness of Allāh.
- The two eternal abodes and those who will be their inhabitants.
- Allāh’s address to His believing servants to save themselves and their families from the Fire, and a description of that Fire.
- Actions that serve as a protection from the Fire.
