Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

- Reflecting upon the passage of time and preparing for the inevitable meeting with Allāh.
- Affairs that bring about the love of Allāh.
- Reciting the Book of Allāh with contemplation and understanding.
- Diligence in worship.
- Inculcating the characteristic of taqwā within ourselves.
- Seeking nearness to Allāh by purifying our hearts, wealth, garments etc.
- Striving to perform the supererogatory acts.
- Remembering Allāh in every situation.
- Loving what Allāh loves and hating what He hates.
- Reflecting upon the Names, Attributes and Actions of Allāh.
- Accompanying those who recite and act upon the Book of Allāh and constantly remember Him.
- “Say (O Muḥammad ﷺ to mankind): ‘If you (really) love Allāh then follow me, Allāh will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allāh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.’” [Sūrah Āli ‘Imrān 3:31]
- Imām as-Sa’dī (رحمه الله) on the status of ṣabr with Allāh.
- Secluding oneself with Allāh, particularly in the last third of the night.
- Removing all barriers/obstacles that may come between a person and Allāh.
- Imām as-Sa’dī (رحمه الله) on the verse, “O you who believe! Answer Allāh (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he (ﷺ) calls you to that which will give you life, and know that Allāh comes in between a person and his heart. And verily to Him you shall (all) be gathered.” [Sūrah al-Anfāl 8:24]
- The reality of the heart and how it changes.
- Two supplications we should be plentiful in saying.
- The manner in which we should worship Allāh.

[06/06/2025] The Importance of Choosing Good Companionship - By Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul Wāḥid. 

- Mankind’s innate nature to love and enjoy the companionship of others.
- The varying levels and types of people in relation to their manners and adherence to the dīn. 
- “Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous.” [Sūrah az-Zukhruf 43: 67]
- “And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, ‘Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way. Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken so-and-so as a friend. He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Shayṭān to man, a deserter.’” [Sūrah al-Furqān 25: 27-29]
- The story of how wicked companionship caused ‘Uqbah b. Abī Mu’īṭ to return to paganism after embracing Islām.
- Examples of how ‘Uqbah harmed the Prophet ﷺ, the du’ā of the Prophet ﷺ against him, and his evil outcome along with the other chiefs of Quraysh.  
- How evil companionship caused Abū Ṭālib to die upon paganism despite the Prophet’s ﷺ earnest call for him to accept Islām. 
- The similitude of a righteous companion and a wicked companion.
- Al-Adhīmabādī (رحمه الله) on the meaning of a man being upon the religion of his close friend. 
- The two types of souls created by Allāh, and the reason why we are inclined to some people and repulsed by others. 
- The fruits of good companionship and harms of wicked companionship.
- “And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and for Paradise that is as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous.” [Sūrah Āli ‘Imrān 3: 133]
- Clarification that sinners are advised and called to good, but not taken as companions. 
- Advice to the youth to fear Allāh, strengthen their īmān and keep good companions.

- Explanation of the statement of the Messengers, “أَفِى ٱللَّهِ شَكٌّ” [Sūrah Ibrāhīm 14:10].
- Refutation of the people of Ittihād (Waḥdatul-Wujūd).
- The connection between Ilḥād and Ittiḥād. 
- The corrupt beliefs of the people of Ittiḥād and how al-Fātiḥah refutes them. 
- The reason the people of disbelief push for unity of religions and how they insidiously use environmentalism as a step to kufr. 
- The two types of people who affirm there is a Lord and He is the Creator of the world.
- Philosophical language used by the Jahmiyyah in their attempt to avoid ascribing a direction for Allāh. 
- Two angles from which al-Fātiḥah refutes the Jahmiyyah. 
- The two types of people who commit shirk [but affirm the Creator]. 
- Those who commit shirk in Allāh’s Rūbūbiyyah. 
- The belief of the Majūs and how the Qadariyyah Majūsīyah resemble them. 
- Explanation of how al-Fātiḥah refutes the Qadariyyah Majūsīyah. 
- Those who commit shirk in Allāh’s Ulūhiyyah, and how al-Fātiḥah refutes them.
- The difference between َنَعبُدُك and إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ.
- How al-Fātiḥah refutes the Jahmiyyah.
- Three ways by which we deduce evidences from the Names of Allāh.
-  How al-Fātiḥah refutes the Jabariyyah. 
- Refutation of those who negate choice or will for Allāh and say the creation exists merely through His Essence. 
- Thoughts that should come to mind while reciting Sūrah al-Fātiḥah.
