[12/09/2025] Those Whom Allāh will not Speak to, Look Towards or Purify - By Sh Abu Fuḍayl ‘Abdur Raqīb حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

- The creed of Ahlus-Sunnah regarding the Speech of Allāh. 

- Explanation of the textual proof regarding the individuals whom Allāh will not speak to, look towards or purify, and for them will be a severe punishment: 

- 1. Those who conceal the truth.

- 2. The one who allows his garments to fall below his ankle bones out of pride.

- 3. The one who boasts about the favours he does for the people. 

- 4. The one who sells his merchandise swearing by Allāh with a false oath. 

- 5. The elderly fornicator.

- 6. The king who lies.

- 7. The arrogant pauper. 

- 8. The woman who is ungrateful to her husband.

●The people of knowledge are granted a rank above others.

●The inheritance of the Prophets (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them).

●Everything seeks forgiveness for the scholars of the Sunnah — even the fish in the sea.

●The death of a scholar of the Sunnah leaves a gap that cannot be filled.

●The calamity of the death of scholars.

●How knowledge is taken away.

●The death of the scholars of the Sunnah leads people to take the ignorant as scholars.

●The importance of seeking knowledge from the scholars before they depart.

●The death of the Mufti of Saudi Arabia — Shaykh 'Abdul 'Azeez aali ash-Shaykh (may Allāh have mercy upon him).

●Those who falsely claim knowledge.

●Honouring our elders and showing mercy to our young.

Envy Consumes Good Deeds Just as Fire Consumes Wood - Abdul Hakeem Mitchell

- “You are the best nation ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin al-Ma'rūf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allāh.” [Sūrah Āli ‘Imrān 3:110]
-  “And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allāh, and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allāh's Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren…” [Sūrah Āl ‘Imrān 3:103]
- Truly! This, your Ummah [Sharī’ah or religion] is one religion, and I am your Lord, therefore worship Me (Alone).” [Sūrah al-Anbiyā 21:92]
- The mercy of unity and destruction/punishment of differing. 
- The perceived “unity” of the unbelievers.
- True unity. 
- Examples of how the dīn of Islām calls to unity. 
- That which unites the hearts. 
- “And obey Allāh and His Messenger, and do not dispute (with one another) lest you lose courage and your strength depart, and be patient. Surely, Allāh is with those who are aṣ-Ṣābirīn (the patient ones).” [Sūrah al-Anfāl 8:46]
- Ahādīth that describe the closeness of the believers. 
- “O you who have believed, obey Allāh and obey the Messenger and those in authority over you. And if you disagree among yourselves over anything then refer it back to Allāh and the Messenger if you truly believe in Allāh and the Last Day. That is better (conduct) and (leads to) the most excellent outcome.” [Sūrah an-Nisā 4:59]
- Hastening to rectification and caution against allowing ill feelings to fester and enter into the hearts.
- “But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muḥammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission.” [Sūrah an-Nisā 4:65]
- The consequences of turning away from the Qur’ān and Sunnah.
