For those unaware of the concept of the Round Up: Each artist that released on Heist in 2020 gets to remix another artist from that year. This year, there's the feel-good festival vibes on Crackazat remix of ‘Dakar Disco’ and the rolling tech goodness of Kassian’s remix of Nebraska’s bonkers track ‘Dip & Flip’. Pitto takes an excursion into deep dubbed out house with his remix of Kassian’s ‘8th Movement’ and Nebraska goes for a UK house meets US garage meets Christopher Walken’s cowbell solo on his remix of ‘Move out the way’ by Dam Swindle. The label heads take on their house stabs with their atmospheric and pumping remix of Teleseen’s ‘Dekalb’, while the latter goes for a worldly approach with his remix of ‘Discko’ by Pitto. There’s also the superb Detroit house approach from Scan 7 with their remix of Crackazat’s ‘Class one’, and we hear Alma Negra adding some vocal and synth layers to the gospel house of Scan7’s killer track ‘All for me’.

@boogietraxxatx is an artist who has really caught our attention over the last 12 months with a series of great fun and well crafted Nu Disco and Disco house releases all perfectly designed for the dancefloor. Now he is back with the Church of The Saturday Saints EP via @moodyhouse-recordings and as per his previous releases it's well worth a look.

Featuring three tracks including a collaboration with @bernardomotapt on the power house track 'The Steps' this EP channels 90's French filtered house to the maximum whilst keeping it very much 2022 in terms of production skills.

Never failing to maintain positivity and balmy vibes - Tensnake presents the latest EP on his own label True Romance.

Following releases from Jozef K, 3kelves, Dylan C. Greene and Steve Mill, Geraldine - which came bolstered with the boss himself - the latest offering on True Romance is a quintessential example of makes the label so omni-appreciated.

Here - Oslo based artist Henrik Villard offers up 4 beautiful grooves, stripped down to the bare minimum: well crafted drums and deftly selected samples all suffused with an irresistible amber glow.

'I See U' kicks things off with a jubilant, circling sample which is filtered and panned as it fleshes out a crispy House back bone. ‚Breezin - Fall In Love' then follows up with more smiley sampling which is underpinned by a thick, rumbling sub.

'Love Forever Stands' then sets field recordings and shuffling rim-shots over a cosy kick drum as another sunny sample bleeds into the mix. Sax samples and neat vocal cuts pepper the track in a manner that recalls some of the finest Smallville records before 

'While You Are Here' closes things up. Script samples, clever arrangement and simple-but-effective loops shine through and bring an exultant collection of floor-fillers to a heart-warming conclusion'.

The Checkup is a fine digger of 90s House Music gems and he proves once again all the passion he has for the original, most stomping form of the genre with this 2 track EP, out on French imprint Frappé. Starting the aptly named "Energy" EP is "Wintergarten", which blends soulful vocals and piano loops on a bouncy bassline, for the kind of dancefloor banger the Parisian label is accustomed to releasing. The French-born and Berlin-Based produced then joins forces with singer Cansu Kandemir to deliver the deep and groovy "waited long enough". The smooth voice is supported by 90s' sounding pads and punchy drums and snares. This one will sure get the crowd started on club dancefloors all around the world.
Energy EP is out in digital Format on February 17th!
