Fresh off the back of his massive debut album ‘United We Are’, Dutch powerhouse and world’s #1 DJ  Hardwell is back with another festival-ready anthem, this time teaming up with fellow countryman Wiwek for something a little different in the shape of ‘Chameleon’.

Big, bouncy, and full of energy, ‘Chameleon’ is something of throwback for Hardwell, with a taste of his early work sitting comfortably alongside the electro house flavour offered up by Wiwek, who in turn steps out of his usual style and takes on a more progressive approach that is equally fresh and exciting.  Built around an infectiously catchy vocal sample that morphs its way through the track, ‘Chameleon’ is designed to put a smile on your face as well as a bounce in your step. It’s proof that dance music can be about having fun, while still remaining serious enough to groove along to, and is a testament to both Hardwell’s years of experience in the studio, and the up-and-coming talent of Wiwek. Originally featured on the recently released and much lauded Revealed Volume 6 compilation, ‘Chameleon’ is sure to become a crowd favourite in the coming months, boosted along by plenty of support from the big guns, and should see a spin or two from Hardwell himself at Revealed stages across the world this summer.

Deejay Astral, the artist formerly known as Palace, is making moves to establish his new persona, and his new EP on W&O Street Tracks (out Dec. 7) should more than see to that. In the loosest possible sense, the three tracks that comprise Astral's self-titled three-tracker could be classified as house music. But it's so much more than that. None of the tracks on the EP stick to a rigid format, constantly toying with house music's innumerable tropes. "Phantasy", in particular, takes a deep house melody and distorts it to give it a crunchy analogue feeling not often heard in house music. Add to that the unsettling, tortured vocal refrain that drips with anguish and you've got a piece of house music that won't be forgotten in a hurry. This is one hell of an opening gambit and one we can't wait to see him top.

With his two successful ‘Ghetto Bass’ compilation albums cementing his knowledge of the genre in 2009 and more recently his latest release ‘You Give Me Something’ having quickly garnered support from tastemaking selectors like Mistajam, the Wideboys and DJ EZ, Hervé is now in the perfect position to release his ‘Dance To My Beat’ EP, out on the 9th of January.

The eponymous lead track is a no-holds-barred EP opener. Baltimore rapper TT’s high-energy verses are fiery party-starting material when layered over Hervé’s bouncing bassline and claps, whilst the chorus’ catchy melody is formed of chopped up robotic vocals, demanding listeners to “dance to my beat”.

Second track ‘Fuck The Speakers’ is a collaboration with Hervé’s long-time musical partner, Sinden. The duo clearly work well together, having produced so many hits in the past, and ‘Fuck The Speakers’ looks set to be no exception. Male and female robotic vocals repeat the eponymous refrain, whilst electronic notes reminiscent of old-school video and arcade games form the catchy topline.

F.U.Q.U.P is a powerful instrumental that clearly shows off Hervé’s jungle and rave influences, with the emphasis on a rumbling sub-bass. Dounughts Revenge is a similarly effective instrumental piece, featuring uplifting piano breakdowns and a jacking beat.

With a new album now in the pipeline for 2016, ‘Dance To My Beat’ perfectly showcases Hervé’s unique yet diverse styles of production.
